NOTES:- (Applicable for BOQ Serial Item No. 1.00 to 6.00 here in before). The Contractor shall provide the following comprehensive services arising out of wear and tear of the normal running of Split/window AC. PART I (i) Preventive and corrective maintenance to be commenced immediately after commencement of work and to be completed within three months. The Authorised service Engineer of OEM or OEM certified agencies shall inspect the equipment for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenence on all the units installed at site . This includes maintenance of all mechanical, electrical and electronics part/sub-assemblies and as specified in Particular Specification. . The preventive maintenence will be carried out as per the original equipment manufacturer's instruction and based on maintenance report if any parts/sub-assemblies found defected, shall be replaced. PART II (i) Preventive and Corrective Maintenance as specified under Part I and Particular Specification but to be commenced after expiry of three months from the date of commencement of work and to be completed before completion date. (ii) In off season there is during the lien period of winter, the authorised Service Engineer of OEM or OEM Certified agencies shall attend all the Air conditioner units for major attentions and keep the equipment ready for use for the next summer. The Contractor may claim payment on monthly basis. In that case the payment shall be made with pro-rata basis on quoted rates.

Breakdown Maintenance : The Authorised Service Engineer of OEM or OEM Certified Agencies will carry out all breakdown maintenance after receiving information (written or oral) from GE Panagarh officials or their representatives, The OEM's authorised service representative or OEM certified agencies will carry out the required repairs of the units and appraise GE,Engineer-in-Charge and JE the status of the break down repair at site. No payment shall be made on account of any breakdown service during comprehensive maintenence period. General (i)The Authorised Service Engineer of OEM or OEM Certified Agencies will carry out all breakdown maintenance after receiving information (written or oral) from GE (AF) Kalaikunda officials or their representatives and appraise GE,Engineer-in-Charge and JE the status of the break down repair at site. No payment shall be made on account of any breakdown service during comprehensive maintenence period of Part I and Part II. (ii) The Service Engineer will be called in case of any breakdown and the same shall be attended within 24 Hours of lodging of complaint, failing which a penal recovery as specified in particular specification, will be recovered from the outstanding dues to the Contractor. (iii) Cost of minor items like teflon tape, metal washers, fibre/rubber washers, screws, small nuts & bolts and like and consumable items except refrgerant gas shall be deemed to be inclusive of the quoted rate. (iv) Spares required for replacement of defective ones will be measured and paid seperately under Prime Cost Sum only. (v) The Contractor shall maintain service reports for all visits & breakdown visits & copy of the same will be submitted to the Engineer in Charge.

M&L for Shifting of split type AC by taking out AC from MES yard or from existing location to the new location by taking it after taking down, closing the opening of old location with cement concrete(1:2:4) ,white wash to match with the existing colour of the site & making holes in brick wall at new location and finishing with cement mortar white wash etc to match with the existing colour of the site installation & commissioning after replacement of insulation of suction & discharge line,charging,electrical connection only. Note:- (i) Wrapping insulation tape ,copper tube ,gas, bracket and other spare parts shall deemed to be included inthe unit qouted rate .

Supply & fixing in repair flexible PVC heavy duty with wire mesh Water drain pipe 20mm bore suitable for Split AC complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing in repairs heavy duty GI Wall Mount Bracket in pairs, powder coating for rust prevention suitable for Split Air Conditioner Out door Unit , Compatible with Air Conditioner of all brands of Capacity - 0.8 Ton to 2.0 Ton with all required fittings like anchor fasteners, nut, bolts etc. complete including refixing the outdoor unit, necessary connection and testing all as directed

M&L for Shifting of window type AC by taking out AC from MES yard or from existing location to the new location by taking it after taking down, closing the opening of old location with brick work in CM (1:6) and rendering plaster on both side including finishes ,white wash to match with the existing colour of the site & making opening in brick wall at new location and finishing with cement mortar white wash etc or in PUF wall and making air tight with thermocol material, to match with the existing colour of the site installation & commissioning after replacement of electrical connection only.

Suppling and fixing in repair MCB ,SP, 240 v ,32 Amps, 'C' series complete all as specified and as directed.

M& L for dismantling Geyser of any capacity any type from exiting position for descaling, removing its accessories removing the scale (white presipated) deposited in it, cleaning the inner tank properly, painting with sparay gun, checking of heating element, thermostat, and all accessories incl electrical connection etc, replacing defected parts with new ones and re-assembling the same (new parts will be measured and paid separately under respective item as supply only) and refixing to its existing position including testing for its proper functioning complete all as specified. NOTE : (i) Sopare parts, if required shall be measured and paid separately under respective items as supply only. (ii) The said job shall be done in MES workshop or at site, after dismantling from its original /existing location and transportation charges if required to bring the unit in the MES workshop shall deemed to be included in the unit quoted rate .

Note : (i) Two run of single core cable 2.50 sq mm and one run earth wire 2.50 sqmm and one run of Rigid stove enamelled steel conduit with all fittings will be measured as one unit length.

Prime Cost Sum. The prime cost to be used as directed by the Accepting Officer vide Condition 1 (v) and 5 of IAFW-2249 (General Condition of Contracts) forming part of the tender documents. (a) Provide a prime cost of Rs 13,00,000.00 for supply only of spare parts suitable for various capacities of summer and cooling appliances after dismantling and based on findings of the actual requirements of spares, through a BOO convened by the Accepting Officer.The spares shall procured directly from the OEMs or their aurhorised distributor/dealer as approved by GE. Rewinding of electric motors shall be done through authorised Service center of OEM or OEM Certified Agencies as approved by GE. Defective compressor and PCB shall not be repaired and will be replaced by providing new ones. (b) Bidder's/Contractor's quoted amount shall be inclusive of his overhead and profit and including all taxes and insert amount to cover all. The Bidder's/Contractor's is to quote lump sum amount under Column 6 covering all the aspects mentioned here in before, representing (%) percentage under Column 9, Above/Below (+ or - denomination) the Prime Cost Sum insered by MES under Column 5. However,the quoted amount under Column 6 shall not exceed 15% (Fifteen Percentage) of Prime Cost Sum insered by MES under Column 5. In case,the Bidder's/Contractor's quoted amount is in excess of 15% of the estimated amount, the same shall be restricted to 15% (Fifteen Percentage) and the amount quoted shall be corrected accordingly to work out the contract sum.

Note :- (i) For item to be replaced under repair (day to day complaint) contactors trade man should report to E/M complaint cell daily and take complaint from concren JE E/M and after attending complaint he should give feedback and return the complaint slip to concern JE E/M in the evening at 17.30 Hrs on same day. (ii) Tradesman deployed for work should wear proper uniform with full shirt and full Pant. Colour code will be decided by EIC. (iii) For any minor repair required in wiring or their is any fault in circuit where the item under repair is to be replaced, contractor has to identify and recitified the fault without any extra cost. (iv) Contractor must ensure a stock of 25% of total qty as catered in CA or 25% of balance qty of the item as catered in CA (during currency of contract) at the MES provided store. If the contractor not provided said above, recovery shall be made as per Terms and Condition of the contract as specified in particular specification. However no ‘Advance on Account’ against this provision as material laying at site shall be admissible. Rate quoated above all items here in before inclusive provision as under :Making arrangement for establishment of centralized complaint centre in the existing building as under :- (a) Provision and maintenance of all tools, plants, equipment and safety gear required for tradesmen under this contract (c) Provision of communication facilities to supervisor and tradesmen. (d) Provision of motorized conveyance for deployment to all tradesmen under this contract.
