Preparing unsurfaced water bound macadam/WMM surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. and applying evenly a prime coat of cationic bitumen emulsion SS-1 conforming IS-8887 @0.7-1.0 kg/Sqm on surface of WMM/WBM as specified in Table-500/3 of MoRTH specification for Road and Bridge Works 2013 with using mechanical sprayer, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Premix bituminous macadam over primed surface of road using paving bitumen laid/rolled by 8 to 12 tonne capacity roller and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) binder contents of premixed macadam shall be 4% by weight of total mix (design mix) with VG-30 grade bitumen capacity, complete all as specified and directed. [Note : (i) Work shall be executed after approval of design mix of bituminous macadam by GE. (ii) Calibration of Hot Mix Plant shall be submitted to Engr-in-Charge for approval. (iii) Payment shall be made to Contractor after submission of approved design mix, bitumen extraction report, Road Roller register & calibration report.]

M&L applying 25mm thick mastic asphalt consisting of an intimate homogenous mixture of mineral filler, well graded fine and coarse aggregate industrial grade 85/25 bituminous as per IS-73 2006 cooked at 170 degree C to 200 degree C laid hot troweled and floted by means of wooden float bitumen mastic after spreading and white still hot and plastic condition shall spread over with bitumen precoated fine aggregate of size 20mm @0.005 cum per 10 sqm mixed with 0.17kg per 10 sqm of bitumen grade VG-30 for anti skidding including all material labour, tools and plants and including applying evenly a tack coat of cationic bitumen emulsion RS1 conforming to IS-8887 at the rate of application of 0.2 -0.3 kg/Sqm on bituminous surface as specified in table 500-3 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge work 2013, using mechanical sprayer after cleaning existing surface, complete all as specified and directed. [Note : (i) Work shall be executed after approval of design mix of mastic asphalt by GE. (ii) Calibration of Hot Mix Plant shall be submitted to Engr-in-Charge for approval. (iii) Payment shall be made to Contractor after submission of approved design mix, bitumen extraction report & calibration report.]

M&L preparing bituminous surfaces of road by cleaning and preparing the road surface and making good the road marking location and marking / applying 2.5mm thick white or golden yellow reflective hot thermoplastic road marking paint (Hot application) for centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like n. exc 10cm wide on roads pavements confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine through modern propelled road marking machine in a layer all as per manufacturers instruction and use of all ingredients such as binder, glass beads, titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate, interfiller thermoplastic required for glass beads per sqm by incorporating the white beads for reflectivity in 100 mm width, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Moorum/Red Bajri filling in floors or pavings, laid in layers n exc. 15 cm thick, spreading and rolling including watering with vibratory roller of capacity 8 to 12 tonne static weight, spread thickness in 100mm, rolled and consolidating to required gradient and camber required as berms, complete all as specified and directed. Note : Stack measurement of moorum to be entered in MB as 'Not to be abstracted' for claiming of payment.

M&L Continuous brick edging with fly ash sub class B bricks, with width equal to the length of the brick, laid dry on edge vertically, complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of Concrete in ground floors and pavings n. exc 15cm thickness (below or above ground level), complete all as specified and directed.

M&L 75mm thick Plain Cement Concrete 1:3:6 type C2 (using 40mm graded stone aggregate) as in sub base of flooring and pavings, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Sand filling under floors or in foundations including watering and consolidaion, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Machine pressed precast concrete interlocking paver block any shape and size conforming to IS 15658-2006 of 80 mm thickness M-40 Grade, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Providing Plain cement concrete type B-1 1:2:4 (with 20mm graded stone aggregate) in roof kerbs, or mud stops, rounded or chamfered on edges, complete all as specified and directed.
