Bid Capacity
The formula for bid capacity is: Assessed Available Bid capacity = (A x N x 2 - B)

B = Financial Liability of the bidder to be incurred for existing commitments and on-going works during the period of the subject contract.
Technical Capacity
The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having completed projects of similar nature with specific minimum values and percentages of the estimated amount put to tender.
For the first call, the bidder should have:
- A similar nature of completed work of the minimum value of 40% of the estimated amount put to tender during 5 years prior to the date of issue of the tender notice.
- Alternatively, 2 similar nature of completed works, each of the minimum value of 30% of the estimated amount put to tender during 5 years prior to the date of issue of the tender notice.
- Or, one single running work of similar nature which has been completed to the extent of 80% or more and value of which is not less than the desired value at 40% of the estimated amount put to tender.
For the 2nd call, the requirements are:
- A similar nature of completed work of the minimum value of 30% of the estimated amount put to tender during 5 years prior to the date of issue of the tender notice.
- Alternatively, 2 similar nature of completed works, each of the minimum value of 25% of the estimated amount put to tender during 5 years prior to the date of issue of the tender notice.
- Or, one single running work of similar nature which has been completed to the extent of 75% or more and value of which is not less than the desired value at 30% of the estimated amount put to tender.
For the 3rd call, the bidder should have:
- A similar nature of completed work of the minimum value of 20% of the estimated amount put to tender during 5 years prior to the date of issue of the tender notice.
- Alternatively, one single running work of similar nature which has been completed to the extent of 70% or more and value of which is not less than the desired value at 20% of the estimated amount put to tender.
In all cases, the annual turnover from the contracting business should be at least 40% of the amount put to tender of the works in which the contractor intends to participate. The bidder should also have experience in Hill areas, preferably, and should submit credentials of 100% completed works of similar nature and allied nature.
