The required prior work experience for the bidder varies based on their qualifications. A Degree Holder in Civil Engineering or an Experienced Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering should have 10 years of experience in construction and 3 years of experience. A Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering should have 3 years of experience, and a Supervisor should have 4 years of experience. Regarding the value and percentage of similar works completed, the bidder should have successfully completed at least one contract of the same type of work with at least 40% of the value of the proposed contract within the last 5 years. Additionally, the bidder should have achieved an annual turnover in any of the last five years, with 50% of it being from civil engineering construction works. The annual turnover requirement is also specified as a percentage of the amount put to bid: 60% of the amount put to bid if it is Rs.200 lakhs or less, and 75% of the amount put to bid if it is more than Rs. 200 lakhs. The bid capacity will be assessed based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the price level of the last year at the rate of 8 percent simple interest per year.
