Providing and placing premium quality semi fowler bed -
I. Overall size shall be minimum 2200mm L x 900mm W x 600mm H.
II. It shall be a semi functional bed with fixed lower section and adjustable back rest. Bed frame shall be made of 1.6mm thick MS ERW rectangular tube of 30mm x 60mm and 1.6mm thick MS ERW round tube of dia 30mm.
III. The lying surface frame shall be made of 1.6mm thick MS ERW round tube with minimum dia 25mm. The surface shall be 1mm thick CRCA sheet and shall have mattress retainer to define the position of mattress. Backrest shall have provision of elevation of 65-70 deg.
IV. Head and leg boards shall be made of 1.6mm thick MS ERW round tube with minimum dia 31mm for main frame, 19mm dia for vertical tubes and 25mm for cross connector tube. Minimum 3 nos of vertical tubes shall be there.
V. Thread rolled EN8 lead screw, with ACME threads and 6mm pitch shall be used to give good strength and ease in operations.
VI. Snap fitted PPCO handle lever shall be used with handle body so as to keep it in folding position when not in use.VII. Castors shall provided with 125mm wheel dia and 22mm stem dia made of high endurance metal with dual locking arrangements which shall be placed diagonally.
VIII. The bed shall have mosquito net pole holder and IV pole holder for provision of mounting these accessories, if required.
IX. Finish shall be epoxy polyester powder coated in white.
X. It shall have safe patient load capacity upto 135kgs.
XI. The mattress size shall be 1965mm L x 830mm W x 100mm thick. Backrest section shall be at 770mm, foam density shall be 45 kg/m3 and hardness of 45 at 25% compression as per IS:7888. It shall be upholstered with heavy helium anti-microbial and fire retardant cover. It must be fitted exactly onto the bed.

xxiii. The side of the drop down sides should be such that it is 5” above the mattress surface and should be at least 6mm thick, clear and transparent.
