M&L of water proofing treatment to non-accessible roof slab with APP based modified polymeric membrane as per manufacturer’s instructions with following course of description below :- (a) Applying a priming coat of industrial bitumen 85/25 at the rate of 1.2 kg per sq.m, till the surface is properly impregnated.
(b) Providing APP based 5 layer polymeric membrane minimum weighing 3.0Kg/ Sqm and minimum 3 mm thick reinforced with polyester non-woven fabric (weight not less than 150 gms/sqm) centre core, laid on primed surface by forced applications as per the manufacturer's instructions with side over lap of 75 mm and end overlap of 100 mm. All overlap joints shall be sealed thoroughly by thermo fusing both the membrane layer (torching overlap by propane or butane gas torch ) and sealing it with the help of hot trowel. The overlap joints shall be made as a monolithic layer
(c) Apply two coat of bituminous aluminium paint @ 0.20 Kg/Sqm over APP membrance
Note : 1. The work of water proofing treatment shall be got executed through authorised applicator of the manufacturer only and 10 year company back warranty to be submitted by contractor 2. The work is required to be carried out at non-accessible roof slab for multy storeyed. Note:- (i) Any CI/AC/PVC pipes or pipe fitting damage during the process of work shall be replaced by new one without any extra cost of the department. the decision of the AGE(I) on this regard shall be final and binding. (ii) The debris including vegetation plant/trees shall be disposed off to a distance exc 0.5 Km and n.exc 1.00 K M all as directed by engineer-in- charge.
(iii) For deciding the girth of the plant/tree the height shall be taken at 30 cm above the slab/wall. (iv) The labour employed by the contractor for carrying out the work shall be provided with safety equipment and quoted shall be deemed to include the same.
