The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed, with a cost of not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subcontracted, in the last 5 years. The similar work is defined as the construction of any type of bridge more than 3.0m span. Additionally, the bidder must have a minimum average annual contractual turnover of V/N or 'V' whichever is less, where V is the advertised value of the tender in crores of Rupees and N is the number of years prescribed for completion of work. The average annual contractual turnover is calculated as an average of total contractual payments in the previous three financial years, as per the audited balance sheet. The value of similar work completed should be at least 35% of the work to be subcontracted, but the exact amount is not specified.
