The required prior work experience for the bidder is as follows: - For contract works up to Rs. 2 Crores: Minimum 2 years of experience. - For contract works above Rs. 2 Crores: Minimum 2 years of experience. The bidder should have completed similar works with a value of at least one-third of the estimated cost of the work. The subcontracting of components of the works should not exceed 25% of the contract price. Additionally, the bidder should have a Degree Holder in Civil Engineering or a Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering, and technical personnel proposed to be employed for the Contract should have a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of experience. Having one year experience is required for a Junior Engineer (civil) or B.Sc. (P.C.M.). The assessed available bid capacity will be calculated based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the price level of the last year at the rate of 8 percent a year. The calculation formula is: Assessed Available Bid capacity = (A*N*M- B), where A = Maximum value of civil engineering works, N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the works, M = 2.5, and B = Value of existing commitments and on-going works. The bidder should also demonstrate availability of key equipment and technical personnel, as well as liquid assets and/or credit facilities of not less than the amount specified, and should have achieved in any one year a minimum financial turnover of at least the amount equal to the estimated cost of works for which bid has been invited.
