The required prior work experience for the bidder is that they should have experience in similar class of works completed. The bidder should have completed similar work(s) with a minimum value of 40% of the tendered cost. For building works, the number of storeys to be constructed in the proposed building is considered for defining similar work, with specific guidelines for different storey ranges. The bidder should have completed at least one similar work with a minimum value of 40% of the tendered cost. The value of executed works shall be brought to the current costing level by enhancing the actual value of work at a specified escalation factor. The bidder is required to submit Form 'C' which includes details of all works of similar nature completed during the last seven years, and Form 'D' which includes projects under execution or awarded. The bidder should also submit a performance report of works referred to in Forms 'C' and 'D'. The bidder should have an average annual financial turnover of at least 30% of the estimated cost, and a solvency of 40% of the estimated cost from a bank. The estimated cost of the work is Rs. 363.17 lac for civil items. The bidder should have experience in similar works, but the exact value and percentage of similar works completed are specified in some cases, such as 40% of the tendered cost. The guidelines for defining similar work for building works are as follows: - Up to four storey buildings: No binding - Five to ten storey buildings: Minimum one building of Five storeys or completing balance construction work of one building (including structural work) minimum up to five storeys - Eleven to fifteen storey buildings: Minimum one building of Eight storeys or completing balance construction work of one building (including structural work) minimum up to eight storeys - More than fifteen storey buildings: Minimum one building of Ten storeys or completing balance construction work of one building (including structural work) minimum up to ten storeys The bidder should not have incurred any loss in more than 2 years during the last 5 years. The bidder is also required to furnish an affidavit stating that eligible similar work(s) have not been executed through another contractor on a back-to-back basis.
