The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having successfully completed or substantially completed specific categories of work(s) during the last 07 years. These categories include: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, - One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. For subcontractors, they must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. Additionally, the overall cost, including the PVC amount (if paid), of that completed work or substantially completed work, shall be considered, and no separate evaluation for each component of that work shall be made to decide eligibility. In case of substantially completed work, payment equal to or more than 90% of the present contract value has been made to the contractor. The bidder's financial eligibility is also assessed based on their average annual contractual turnover, calculated as an average of "total contractual payments" in the previous three financial years, using the formula: V/N or V, whichever is less, where V = Advertised value of the tender in crores of Rupees and N = Number of years prescribed for completion of work for which bids have been invited.
