The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing specific categories of work(s) during the last 7 years. These categories include: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, or (iii) One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. In the case of composite works, the tenderer must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 7 years: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, or (iii) One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. For subcontractors, they must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. The bidder is required to furnish a list of works completed in the last seven financial years, giving details such as description of work, organization for whom executed, approximate value of contract at the time of award, date of award, and date of scheduled completion of work. Additionally, the bidder must provide the date of actual start, actual completion, and final value of contract. The bidder must also provide a list of works on hand, indicating description of work, contract value, approximate value of balance work yet to be done, and date of award. The definition of similar work is the execution of any Signaling work. The required percentages of similar works completed are 30%, 40%, and 60% of the advertised value of the tender, and the required amounts are not less than these percentages of the advertised value. For subcontractors, the required percentage is 35% of the value of the work to be subletted.
