Repairs to potholes any depth, not exceeding 1 sq m each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc, cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat @ 5 kg per 10 sq m of paving bitumen (VG-10), putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10 sq m of paving bitumen (VG-30), chippings, depth of pot holes exceeding 30 mm complete all as specified and directed. Note : Pot holes shall be marked and checked by Engineer-in-charge. 100% quantity before commencement of work and shall also be entered in MB with reference to permanent objects before starting carpeting work.

Preparing of black top bituminous surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air pressure through air jet using air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc incl removing mud etc to distance minimum 1.50 m from edge or road and applying evenly a tack coat of bituminous primer using paving bitumen (VG-10) at the rate of 5 kg per 10 Sqm of road surfaces by sprayer operated hot pressure mechanism, supplying, laying, spreading 30 mm consolidated thickness of semi dense asphaltic bituminous concrete carpet (VG-30) with 0.406 cum crushed and graded coarse aggregate with design mix formula with bitumen not less than 5.5 using paver with mechanical paver all as specified in clause device for automatic leveling and profile control within the specified tolerance. B.a of SSR Part-1, rolled and consolidated to required camber and gradient with power roller for uniform surface etc complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) Bituminous concrete shall be mixed in hot mix plant, transported from plant to work site and laid/spread by means of mechanical paver finisher . (ii) Filler for bituminous concrete shall be OPC-43 grade @2% of total mix. (iii) Contractor shall quote his rate on the basis of binder as mentioned in this item. If there is any negative variation in the actual binder content used as per design mix approved by GE, the rate shall be adjusted @ Rs.53.00 per Kg of binder used. However no price adjustment shall be made if the binder content works out to more than as specified in said item. (iv) Work shall be executed as per design mix approved by GE.

Supplying, laying, spreading upto 75 mm or less consolidated thickness of premix bituminous macadam carpet filling in depression (using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) in single layer with using mechanical paver using bituminous binder (VG-30) at the rate 4% by weight of total mix , laid / rolled and compacted consolidated to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tonne power roller to a uniform smooth surface etc complete all as specified and directed. Note : (i) Aggregates for bituminous works shall confirm to clause No 20B 2.5 of SSR 2009 Part-1 (Specification) with the following constraints :- Aggregate passing 26.5 mm IS sieve-100% Aggregate passing 13.2 mm IS sieve-60% to 80% Aggregate passing 4.75 mm IS sieve-20% to 30% Aggregate passing 2.36 mm IS sieve 5% to 10%
