Supply, install , testing, commissioning of 'Silent type' diesel generating set alongwith having prime power rating of 415 Volts at 1500 RPM , 0.8, 75 KVA lagging power factor at 415 volts suitable for 50 hz 3 phase system and for 0.85 load factor , CPCB-IV plus complied, acoustic enclosure, engine is designed to meet stringent exhaust emission tests as per revised MoEF norms, anti vibration mountings, control panel and foundation. The DG set should be robust in construction factory tested and assembled to ensure perfect alignement of engine and Alternator on a common base frame. The DG set shall be designed and suitable to operate as per tropical condition of Chakeri, kanpura and for more details on service condition refer particular specification. The DG set shall be Eco-friendly product complying with CPCB noise and emission norms (noise and emission values lower than CPCB limits) and complying with latest emmission standards issued vide gazatte notification G.S.R. 804(E) by MoEF The DG set shall be comprising of following item as under:-

(a) Diesel Engine : The diesel engine shall be of four stroke cycle multi-cylinder, direct injection radiator water cooled, turbo charged with after cooler, compression ratio 16.8:1, Air to air after cooling and optimised turbo charger for increased altitude capabilities developing required 103.4 BHP @ 1500 rpm ( MoEF Certified Power) under NTP condition of BS 5514/ISO 3046 with an over load capacity of 110% for one hour in any specified 12 hrs of continuous operation, suitable for generating set application on AMF mode. The engine shall confirm to IS: 10000/BS:649?BS 5514/ISO 3046. The engine shall have the following accessories:
(i) Cooling fan and radiator. (ii) DM water cooling systems with pre-mix anti-corrosive additive(iii) Turbocharger (iv) Fly wheel with fly wheel housing. (v) Electrical engine starter motor (disengagement after start-up) with batteries. (vi) Battery charging systems. (vii) Industrial/Residential silencer and exhaust pipes having suitable height with supporting structure. (viii) Stainless steel exhust flexible elbow. (ix) Thermal sealing of exhaust pipe and aluminium cladding for complete exhaust pipe and silencer. (x) Required filters for fuel, lube oil, air etc. (xi) Sets of flexible hoses as required. (xii) Suitable rubber coupling to Alternator with guard. (xiii) Suitable Engine controller for protection of the engine. (xiv) Coolant heater. (xv) Oil drain Pump. (xvi) Heavy duty air cleaner. (xvii) Venturi combo Spin On Oil Filter (xix) Electrical starter motor with soft start engagement feature (xx) Plate type lube oil cooler with first fill of lube oil and coolant.

(c) Starting system : The engine starting shall be by means of totally enclosed axial type electric starter suitable for 12 volts DC starting system comprising of starter motor, voltage regulator and arrangement for initial exciation complete 12 volt batteries or with suitable number of batteries 925 plstes, 180 AH Sealed Maintenance Free (SMF) Lead-Acid type)as required as per specifications. The battery shall be supplied with a suitable floor mounted MS stand treated with seven tank treatment, two coats of red oxide/primer & acid resistant paint with wooden base, adaptor box etc. with copper conductor battery leads of required length and socket/clamps
(d) Engine mounted Instrumentation Panel fitted with and having digital display for the following: (i) Start stop switch key (ii) water temperatre indication (iii) Lubrication oil pressure indication (iv) Lubrication oil temperature indication (v) Battery charging indication and RPM indication (vi) Over speed indication and Engine hours indication (vii) Low lube oil temp indication.

(e) Alternator : Brushless Type, Screen protected, Revolving field, Self excited Permanent Magnet Generator (PMG) Alternator conforming to IS/IEC 60034-1 rated at 75 kVA 3 phase 0.8 PF 415V , 4 wire 1500 rpm , class H insulation, self regulated through AVR confirming to IS :4722/BS 2613 suitable for tropical condition with brush less exciter, dynamically balanced rotor, alternator efficiency not less than 94.6% , housed in screen protected drip proof enclosure. The alternator shall beconfirming to IS 13364 Part-2 & IS 15999 part-1/IEC 60034 Part-1 capable of delivering rated output at rated power factor with the following :- (i) Terminal voltage differing from the rated value by not more than +/- 5%. (ii) Frequency differing from the rated value by not more than +/-0.5%. (iii) Short circuit capacity of 300% for 10 seconds. (iv) Over load capacity of 110% for one hour. The insulation class of the Alternator shall be class H. The temperature rise shall be limited to class B and Ingresses enclosure protection shall IP23 or better. The alternator shall be fitted with suitable Nos. Resistance Temperature Device (RTD) & Bearing Temperature Device (BTD) along with space heaters. (f) Alternator Protection : Alternator should have following protections (i) Over and under voltage (ii) Under and over frequency warning and trip (iii) Loss of excitation (iv) Over current and Earth Fault and short circuit Protection. (v) Unbalanced loads (vi) Restricted Earth Fault Protection. (vii) Differential protection . (viii) Diode Failure.

(g) Voltage regulator : A rapid response voltage regulator shall be provided to regulate the generated voltage. the overall regulations from no load to full load,including cold to hot variation and load power factor of 0.8 lag to unity shallbe within 2%b of the normal recovery following sudden application and disconnection of load. (h) Acoustic enclosure : The acoustic enclosure should be supplied along with DG set from the manufacturer outlet itself as per CPCB norm. Acoustic enclosure shall be of powder coated and fabricated out of 2mm thick CRCA MS sheet. The canopy shall have four hinged doors, one door with glass window to view proper parameters on the control panel. The canopy and doors shall have inside lining of fire retardant foam/glasswool as acoustic materials. the base frame shall be fabricated in ISMC channel or in sheet metal, with lifting hooks for convenient lifting of complete set i.e. along with canopy, engine and alternator. The sound level shall have less than 75 db (A) at a distance of 1 meter. High quality noise absorbant and fire-retardant grade acoustic insulation material (P.U. Foam) complying to IS 8183. The allowable temperature raise inside the canopy is 5 to 7 deg. Centigrade . The Measurement of noise should be as per ISO 3744/ISO 8528 (part 10 ) standard. The canopy has the provision of emergency push button, external to the canopy.

(j) Governor : The governor shall be of electronic type Integral with FIP & Isochronous cpability , suitable for monitoring constant engine speed within the specified limits for auto parallel and auto load sharing operation. (k) Exhaust : The exhaust piping system shall be supplied with a hospital grade silencer and catalytic converter suitably optimized to meet stringent noise emission standards laid down by MoEF / CPCB . The exhaust piping and the silencer shall be wrapped with aluminium cladding. The exhaust line shall be extended beyond the height of the utility building roof as required by pollution control norms. Suitable supporting structure for installation shall be provided. The piping shall be confirming to IS:3589 cut to required length and installed with necessary bends, supports and clamps. (l)Hot air exhaust (Radiator cooling): GI duct shall be providedfor hot air exhaust from DG set up designated place of duct outlet. The duct shall be made of 14 Gauge thick Class-8, Galvanized Iron (GI) Sheet. Galvanised Iron (GI) duct shall be provided for venting hot exhaust air out of the DG room, from radiator hot air outlet point of the DG Acoustic enclosure through nearest brick wall. (m) Fuel Tank : Inbuilt/Internal bottom mounted (with-in DG set or with-in base frame) diesel tank of suitable capacity with mounting brackets, complete with fuel inlet, out let, air vent drain plug, level indicator, inter connection pipes from tank to diesel generator as required. suitable barrier shall be provided between Diesel tank and the Engine.

Fuel tank shall be fabricated from 3.0mm thick MS sheet complete with all accessories and fuel piping between fuel tank and diesel engine with MS class C pipe of suitable dia complete all as specified and as per tropical condition of Chakeri, Kanpur. Standard Fuel tank Capacity and designed capacity shall be suitable for 8 hrs continous operation. (n) Control Panel : Control panel shall be manufactured with 14/16 gauge CRCA sheet duly powder coated. The control panel consists of the following parts: (a) Integrated advanced digital Controller control system microprocessor-based suitable for generator set monitoring (b) Metering and control system with LCD display designed to meet the demands of engine driven generator sets (c) Aluminium bus bars with suitable capacity with incoming/outgoing terminals (d) Instrument fuses duly wired and ferruled (e) Air Circuit Breakers (ACBs)/Moulded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) of suitable rating with overload and short circuit protections. (o) AMF Panel : DG set shall consist of AMF panel with enclosure with MCCBs of suitable size along with all connected accessories. (i) AMF panel shall be manufactured and installed ny OEM of DG Set. (ii) AMF panel should be fitted installed and shall be treated with anti corrosive treatment of seven tank process by OEM of DG set only.

(o) AMF Panel : DG set shall consist of AMF panel with enclosure with MCCBs of suitable size along with all connected accessories. (i) AMF panel shall be manufactured and installed ny OEM of DG Set. (ii) AMF panel should be fitted installed and shall be treated with anti corrosive treatment of seven tank process by OEM of DG set only. (p) Base Frame and Foundation : Both the engine and alternator mounted on suitable base frame made of MS channel with necessary reinforcement which shall be installed on suitable cement concrete foundation and vibration isolation arrangemnt as per recommendation of manufacturer. Note : (i) DG set shall be composite type with control panel, Prime mover, alternator and allied accessories in one enclosure (ii) LT Cable of suitable rating from DG set Alternator output to Automatic main failure panel (AMF panel ) should be provided by the contractor. (iii) Cost of DG set foundation deemed to be included in cost of item. (iv) Contractor should submit necessary drawing to GE/Engr-in-Charge before procurement. (v) Control panel shall be manufactured and installed by OEM of DG Set.

(vi) The engine of DG set shall be suitable derated to suit the climatic condition of AF Stn Chakeri, kanpur so as to give output including 10% over load. (vii) Phase-I test will be carried out by Engineer-in-Charge for no load for 1 hour and 100% load for 01 hour each and Phase-II test will be carried out in presence of IEM/rep of Accepting Officer for no load, 25% , 50% , 75% , 100% for 11 hours and 110% for 1 hour over load and DHPP (fuel) required for testing of DG sets is deemed to be included in above quoted rate (viii) The DG set shall be suitable for auto main failure function. (ix) The quoted rate for DG set is inclusive of PCC foundation for DG set. the foundation for DG set should be made of PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate below the ground level minimum 300 mm and 200 mm above ground level, size of platform shall be as per manufacturers recommendations including mounting with suitable fastner/nut/bolts etc complete all as specified and directed.

(e) Alternator : Brushless Type, Screen protected, Revolving field, Self excited Permanenet Magnet Generator (PMG) Alternator conforming to IS/IEC 60034-1 rated at 125 kVA 3 phase 0.8 PF 415V, 4 wire 1500 rpm , Class H insulation, self regulated through AVR confirming to IS : 4722/BS 2613 suitable for tropical condition with brush less exciter, dynamically balanced rotor, alternator efficiency not less than 94.6%, housed in screen protected drip proof enclosure. The alternator shall be confirming to IS 13364 Part-2 & IS 15999 Part-1? IEC 60034 Part-1 capable of delievering rated output at rated power factor with the following :- (i) Terminal voltage differing from the rated value by not more than +/- 5%. (ii) Frequency differing from the rated value by not more than +/-0.5%. (iii) Short circuit capacity of 300% for 10 seconds. (iv). Over load capacity of 110% for one hour. The insulation class of the Alternator shall be class H. The temperature rise shall be limited to class B and Ingresses enclosure protection shall IP23 or better. The alternator shall be fitted with suitable Nos. Resistance Temperature Device (RTD) & Bearing Temperature Device(BTD) along with space heaters.

(f) Alternator Protection: Alternator should have following protections (i) Over and Under voltage (ii) Under and over frequency warning and trip (iii) Loss of excitation (iv) Over current and Earth Fault and Short Circuit Protection (v) Unbalanced loads (vi) Restricted Earth Fault Protection (vi) Differential protection. (viii) Diode Failure. (g) Voltage regulator : A rapid response voltage regulator shall be provided to regulate the generated voltage. The overall regulations from no lad to full load, including cold to hot variation and load power factor of 0.8 lag to unity shall be within 2% of the normal voltage. The excitation system shall be designed to promotr rapid voltage recovery following sudden application and disconnection of load. (h) Acoustic enclosure : The acoustic enclosure should be supplied along with DG set from the manufacturer oulet itself as per CPCB norm -IV. Acoustic enclosure shall be of powder coated and fabricated out of 2mm thick CRCA MS sheet. The canopy shall have four hinged doors, one door with glass window to view proper parameters on the control panel. The base frame shall be fabricated in ISMC channel or in sheet metal, with lifting hooks for convenient lifting of complete set i.e. along with canopy, engine and alternator. The sound level shall have less than 75 db (A) at a distance of 1 meter. High quality noise absorbant and fire-retardant grade acoustic Insulation material (P.U. Foam) complying to IS 8183.

The allowable temperature raie inside the canopy is 5 to 7 deg. Centigrade. The Measurement of noise should be as per ISO 3744/ISO 8528 (Part 10) standard. The canopy has the provision of emergency push button, external to the canopy (j) Governor : The governor shall be of electronic type Integral with FIP & Isochronous capability, suitable for monitoring constant engine speed within the specified limits for auto parallel and auto load sharing operation. (k) Exhaust : The exhaust piping system shall be supplied with a hospital grade silencer and catalytic converter suitably optimized to meet stringent noise emission standards laid down by MoEF /CPCB.The exhaust piping and the silencer shall be wrapped with rock wool and/or calcium silicate. The outside shall be neatly wrapped with aluminium cladding. The exhaust line shall be extended beyond the height of the utility building roof as required by pollution control norms. Suitable supporting structure for installation shall be provided. The piping shall be confirming to IS:3589 cut to required length and installed with necessary bends, supports and clamps. (l) Hot air exhaust (Radiator cooling): GI duct shall be provided for hot air exhaust from DG set up to designated place of duct outlet. The duct shall be made of 14 Gauge thick Class-8, Galavanized Iron (GI) Sheet. Galvanized Iron (GI) duct shall be provided for venting hot exhaust air out of the DG room, from radiator hot air outlet point of the DG Acoustic enclosure through nearest brick wall.

(m) Fuel Tank: Inbuilt/Internal bottom mounted (with-in DG det or with-in base frame) diesel tank of suitable capacity with mounting brackets, complete with fuel inlet, out let, air vent, drain plug, level indicator , inter connection pipes from tank to diesel generator as required. Suitable barrier shall be provided between Diesel tank and the Engine. Fuel tank shall be fabricated from 3.0 mm thick MS sheet complete with all accessories and fuel piping between fuel tank and diesel engine with MS class C pipe of suitable dia complete all as specified and as per tropical condition of Chakeri, Kanpur. Standard Fuel tank Capacity and designed capacity shall be suitable for 8 hrs continous operation. (n) Control Panel : Control Panel shall be manufactured with 14/16 gauge CRCA sheet duly powder coated. The control panel consists of the following parts: (a) Integrated advanced digital Controller control system microprocessor-based suitable for generator se monitoring (b) Metering and control system with LCD display designed to meet the demands of engine driven generator sets (c) Aluminium bus bars with suitable capacity with incoming/outgoing terminals (d) Instrument fuses duly wired and ferruled (e) Air circuit breakers (ACBs)/Moulded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) of suitable rating with overload and short circuit protections.

(o) AMF Panel : DG set shall consist of AMF panel with enclosures with MCCBs of suitable size along with connected acccessories. (i) AMF panel shall be manufactured and installed by OEM of DG set. (ii) AMF panel should be fitted/installed and shall be treated with anti corrosive treatment of seven tank process by OEM of DG set only. (p) Base Frame and Foundation : Both the engine and alternator mounted on suitable base frame made of MS channel with necessary reinforcement which shall be installed on suitable cement concrete foundation and vibration isolation arrangement as per recommendation of manufacturer. Note: DG set shall be composite type with control panel, Prime mover, alternator and allied accessories in oneenclosure (ii) LT Cable of suitable rating from DG set Alternator output to Automatic main failure panel (AMF panel) should be provided by the contractor. (iii) Cost of DG set foundation deemed to be inclded in cost of item. (iv) Contractor should submit necessary drawing to GE/Engr-in-Charge before procurement. (v) Control panel shall be manufactured and installed by OEM of DG set. (vI) The engine of DG set shall be suitable derated to suit the climatic condition of AF Stn Chakeri, Kanpur so as to give desired output including 10 % over load.

(vii) Phase-I test will becarried out by Engineer-in-Charge for no load for 1 hour and 100% load for 01 hour each and Pahse-II test will be carried out in presence of IEM / rep of Accepting Officer for no load, 25%, 50% , 75% , 100% for 1 hour over load and DHPP (fuel) required for testing of DG sets is deemed to be included in above quoted rate (viii) The DG set shall be suitable for auto main failure function. (ix) The quoted rate for DG set is inclusive of PCC foundation for DG set. The foundation for DG set should be made of PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate below the ground level minimum 300mm and 200mm above ground level, size of platform shall be as per manufacturers recommendations including mounting with suitable fastner/nut/bolts etc complete all as specified and directed.

Note :- 1) Main earth lead upto 7.5 mtr shall be deemed to be included in unit rate. Beyond above earth lead shall be measured and paid seperetley..
