Required surface texturing to be done as specified in Clause 10.1.14 and Table 9 of IRC 15-2017. Rates shall be inclussive of necessary formwork.

Material and labour cutting of 25mm wide expansion joints upto full depth of concrete slab (intial cut of 10 mm upto full depth cut by diamond cutter machine within 8 to 24 hours of casting) and filled with pre formed compressible filler board (HD-100) of required depth, provision of closed cell polythene backup rod 30 mm dia (minimum depth over back up rod shall be 18-19mm leaving 4-5mm recess), 02 coats of priming the vertical side of joints and sealing the joint (Top 14-15mm) with single component polyurethane sealant conforming to requirement of BS-5212 and EN 141875-2003 for Hydrolysis/water resistance test and applying masking tape on edge at joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant is applied.

Sealant should have MAF minimum ±30% and manufacturer's warranty for 10 (ten) years complete all as per manufacturer's instructions all as specified.
Note: (i) Rounding of Edges shall performed with mechanical grinder up to 5-6 mm dia. The cost shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (ii) Expansion joints shall not be upto 30m as per MORTH specification. The cost of full depth cuttting as required for forming expansion joints at such locations shall also be deemed included in the contractor's quoted rate for above item. (iii) Filling of joints shall be done by a mechanized system. (iv) Cost of Compressible rubber filler board ( Silfex / supreme )shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate.
(v) Initial cutting shall be commenced as 1/3rd of the depth and width of the final cutting within 8-24hrs after final curing period(28days).

Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air.
