M&L for Earthing in replacement complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 60 cm x 60 cm x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr deep below normal ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 mtr below normal ground level surrounded from all sides by 15 cm thick packed layer of charcoal dust and common salt filling in alternate layers and electrode connections by mean of GI wire 4 mm dia by means of bolts, nuts check nuts and washers of GI or steel and connecting to earthing test point, main switch board, testing on completion including PCC cover and frame, PCC (1:3:6) type C-2 as in earthing pit, MS funnel with wire mesh GI pipe 20 mm dia light grade for watering and GI pipe 15 mm dia light grade for the protection of GI wire from earth pit to earth point complete including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil, returning, filling in approved soil and disposal of surplus soil to a distance n.exc 50 m all as specified as shown in electrical plate No 5 SSR Part-I. PCC chamber shall be constructed at least one metre away from the earth pit and GI pipe fittings for watering shall be provided up to chamber and cost of the same is deemed to be included in the rate of earthing. Note :- If the desired earth resistance is not found, earthing shall be redone by the contractor at no extra cost to the department.

Note :- If the desired earth resistance is not found, earthing shall be redone by the contractor at no extra cost to the department.
