M&L pavement quality concrete (PQC), minimum 28 days field flexural stength 45 Kg per Sqcm or 4.5 Mpa, aggregate gradation as per Table-3 of IRC 15-2017, coarse aggregate of clean, hard, strong, dense, non-porus and durable pieces of crushed stone or gravel, fine aggragate of clean natural sand or crushed stone sand or combination of both using minimum 360Kg per Cum of cement mixed with polyester non-circular, virgin synthetic fibre at the rate as specified by the Manufacturer's (or as directed). PQC shall be laid in bays, spread, paved, compacted & finished as per required gradient and chamber, including making necessary joints, filling with sealent and necessary form work complete all as specified & directed. Notes:- (i) Construction joints, dummy joints (contraction joints) and expansion joints shall be measured & paid separately. (ii) Expansion joints shall be deducted for computing concrete quantity. (iii) Polyester non-circular fibre as secondary reinforcement shall be measured & paid separately as" supply only" however mixing of same is deemed to be included in quoted rates. (iv) Formwork wherever required shall deemed to be included in quoted rates. (v) The cost of the design mix shall be borne by the contractor. Testing of flexural strength shall be carried out as specified and cost of the same is deemed to be included in quoted rates. (vi) The contents of cement specified, is the minimum content and in case the quantity of cement required more according to approved design mix, nothing extra shall be paid for increased content of cement and rates deemed to be included for increased cement content.

M&L repair to damaged and/or broken edges, corners of the existing cement concrete slabs of runway/PTT/ Dispersals by cutting upto a depth of 5cm, damaged, spoiled exists in concrete pavements, slabs to rectangular or square in cross section and removing all loose, foreign materials and dust etc. by any mechanical means as directed and disposing off the rubbish to a distance not exceeding 1000 mtr, cleaning the surfaces thoroughly with brush and compressed air and applying one coat of epoxy primer & filled with epoxy mortar as specified including necessary from work, wherever required, all as per manufacturer's instructions complete all as specified & directed. Notes: (i) All the components of epoxy mortar such as resin, hardner, fillers, sand etc. shall be formulated by company itself and it shall be brought at site in sealed condition with company packing. (ii) Company packing once opened, the whole materials shall be consumed within one hour and left over material shall not be reused. (iii) Before executing the work at the site, all the required material shall brought to site in a single lot as approved and recorded in MB with test certificates and guarantee certificates issued by the manufacturer.

M&L preparation of existing concrete surface for applying 6mm thick Epoxy Poly-Urethane (EPU) flooring including grinding, scarifying, cleaning of surface from dust, dirt, moisture & foreign material from the floor, all floors to be cleared by means of scrubber, acid itching shall be done to the floor followed by alkaline wash & then the surface shall be cleaned by potable water wash. After that the floor shall be cleaned by using solvent / degrease / cleaner to remove residues, for floor cleaning all mechanized equipment shall be used like scrubber, sanders, hot blowers, vacuum cleaners, moisture test machine complete including laying of 6mm thick EPU flooring as described here-in-below complete all as specified & directed:- (a) Applying solvent free epoxy resin based primer. The primer shall be applied yielding a depth of 200 micron. (b) Applying epoxy based high strength self-smoothing, self-leveling screed. The screed shall have a minimum thickness of 3800 microns. The Compressive strength of screed will be the range of 60-70 Mpa, Tensile strength will be 15-20 Mpa and Flexural in the range of 40-45 Mpa. Water absorption Nil. (c) Applying EPU based self-leveling top coat. It should yield a thickness of 2000 microns. The Compressive strength of top coat will be the range of 60-70 Mpa, Tensile strength will be 15-20 Mpa and Flexural strength in the range of 25-35 Mpa.

Notes for BOQ item No. 11.00 (i) The EPU flooring shall be executed by one of the approved manufacturer's authorized applicator only. The authorized applicator shall have minimum three years documented experience in the execution of EPU flooring to existing concrete floors. The contractor shall submit necessary documents in this regard and the same shall be approved by GE. All material used in this system shall be of single manufacturer to ensure compatibility and proper bonding. All material is to be delivered to the job site in the manufacturer's original packaging and shall be executed through authorized applicator only. (ii) Contractor shall submit Performance Guarantee and Security deposit @ 1% of contract amount as specified. (iii) EPU flooring shall be provided from Expansion joints, Dummy joints & Construction joints to be covered with the provisioned flooring system. The cost of provisioned flooring system over joints shall be deemed to included in quoted rates of EPU flooring and area of Expansion joints, Dummy Joints & Construction joints shall be deducted from measurement of EPU flooring.
