(a) M&L for surface preparation - The PQC/PCC floor surface shall be cleaned off all dust, dirt, moisture and all foreign materials. Floor shall be cleaned by means of scrubbers. Acid itching shall be done to floor followed by alkaline wash and subsequently cleaned by potable water wash. Then the floor shall be cleaned by using solvent, degreaser, cleaner etc. to remove all residues. Floor cleaning shall be done by mechanical equipments such as scrubbers, hot blowers, vacuum cleaners, etc all as directed and as required at site to entire satisfaction of GE. The entire area should be grinded using sander machine to get a proper adhesion with coating. (b) M&L FOR PREPARATION OF JOINTS - After preparation of surface as above raking out old all decayed/ damaged existing sealing compound from the construction/dummy /expansion joints of any size and any depth cleaning the joints thoroughly by removing dust, dirt,loose and foreign material by appropriate hand tools such as chiesel, hammer or L hooks, scrapping out the existing sealing joints, grinding or cutting the inner sides of the joints by Diamond cutter to have perfect plane sealant free surface without breaking the edges, removing dust by power blower/ compressed air and removing rubbish material outside MOD land. Note: Any variation in size of joint is deemed to be included in quoted rate. (i) Making good the existing damaged edges (at joints) cracks, etc on either side of joint in cement concrete floor by cutting around to true vertical surfaces by using diamond cutter etc. and removing the debris and other foreign material outside MOD land including necessary preparation of surfaces by cleaning the sides and bottom stages as specified and directed to the entire satisfaction of of GE/Engineer-in-Charge and spilled edges shall be repaired with using epoxy. (ii) Expansion joints to full depth of slabs primed and filled with compressible filler board (Make: Silflex Supreme or equivalent as approved by GE) and providing a back up rod /debonding strip and top 12 mm primed with suitable primer and sealed with polyurethane based sealing compound complete as per manufacturer's recommendations. (iii) Construction / dummy joints shall be provided a back up rod / debonding strip and top 10 mm primed with suitable primer and sealed with polyurethane based sealing compound complete as per manufacturer's recommendations.

Supplying and applying 6 mm thick heavy duty, chemical resistant, abrasion resistant cementitious Polyurethane Flooring over old concrete surface (1 mm thick PU primer/ scratch coat + 5 mm thick top coat) - (i) PRIMING COAT - The prepared surface shall be tested for moisture content with a Thermo-Hygrometer and moisture content shall be below 5%. For every 500 Sqm, a minimum of 5 reading should be taken to asses the average moisture content in the surface. Low viscosity epoxy primer shall be applied @ 200ml per Sqm with Cipoxy 14 resin and hardener in 1:1 ratio by weight using stiff brush or roller. Before application of screed coat, following procedure shall be adopted: - (a) The entire area shall be grinded using the same machine to remove any protrusion. (b) Cipoxy 14 Resin and Cipoxy 14 Hardener shall be mixed into a mixing pail, in 1:1 ratio by volume. (c) The contents shall be mixed thoroughly using a stirrer fitted with a paddle. (d) The mixed material shall be poured on the floor and spread it over the recommended area by using a steel trowel (for a thickness of 200 microns). (e) Primer can also be brushed or rolled over the entire arca. (f) It shall be ensured that the entire aea is covered evenly. (9) The entire area shall be inspected for any blowholes, uncovered surface or such defects and in case any defect is found the area shall be rectified appropriately. (h) If required, the primer shal be applied again and allowed to cure for a further period of 8hours.

(ii) SCREED BED - Screed bed shall be of 2.7 mm (2700 Micron) average thickness by using epoxy based screed with resin, hardener and filler in ratio of 2:1:3. Mixing shall be done correctly with an electric variable speed mixer thoroughly till obtaining homogeneous mixture. Following procedure shall be adopted: - (a) Cipoxy resin and Cipoxy 15 hardener shall be mixed in 2:1 ratio by volume. (b) Mixture shall be continued to stir for 2-3 minutes. (c)FQ sand 200 shall be added to the stirring mixture. (d) Stirring shall be continued till all the aggregates are fully wetted. (e) The screed mixture shall be laid to the desired thickness & allow to dry. (iii) COPPER TAPE - Providing and fixing 100 microns thick, and minimum 15mm wide self adhesive (conductive type) copper tape to ensure quick transfer of charge including connecting copper wire/ tape and earthing etc. required to get the desired result, The spacing of copper tape shall be approximately 5m C/C both ways. (iv) CONDUCTIVE PRIMER - Providing and applying EPU (epoxy polyurethane) based conductive coat having a volumetric ratio of resin and hardener in 3:1, to yield a DFT of 100 microns. Product Name-Aquoxy ESD or equivalent as approved by GE.
