The bid capacity required in the given tender to bid having value can be calculated using the formula: Bid capacity = (A*N*M-B), where A = Maximum turnover in construction works executed in any one year during the last five financial years, N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the works for which bids are invited, M = 2.0, and B = Value, at the current price level, of existing commitments and ongoing works to be completed during the period of completion of the works for which bids are invited. Additionally, the bid capacity can also be determined based on the completion of similar works, with options including: - Three similar completed works costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost, - Two similar completed works costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost, - One similar completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost. The Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) and a receipt of Rs. 01/- on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 100/- are also required as part of the bidding process.
