East Central Railway Tender

The bidder should have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed, with a value of not less than 35% of the work to be subcontracted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. The tenderer must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 years: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 30% of the advertised value of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of the advertised value of the tender, (iii) One similar work costing not less than the amount equal to 60% of the advertised value of the tender. In the case of composite works, the tenderer must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 years: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, or (iii) One similar work each costing not less than the amount equal to 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. The subcontractor must have completed a work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, with a value of not less than 35% of the work to be subletted. Additionally, the tenderer must have minimum average annual contractual turnover of V/N or V whichever is less; where V= Advertised value of the tender in crores of Rupees N= Number of years prescribed for completion of work for which bids have been invited. Note that work experience certificates from private individuals are not considered, but those from public listed companies with an average annual turnover of Rs 500 crore and above in the last 3 financial years are considered, provided they meet certain criteria.
