Venturimeter & Orifice meter apparatus Supply and installation of complete Apparatus should consist of a close circuit through which water is circulated continuously by means of a centrifugal pump of 25 mm x 25 mm with 0.5 H.P. Motor to make the supply from sump tank. A sump tank 80 cm long, 40 cm wide and 30 cm high fabricated with 1.5 mm thick S.S. sheet is to be provided. A drain valve of 15 mm size is to be provided in the bottom of the tank. Water is drawn from the sump tank and delivered to the G.I. pipe line circuit having parallel pipe lines of sufficient length connected with the respective venturimeter and orifice meter. A Venturimeter made of brass is to be provided (each having d/D = 0.6) having inlet size of 25 mm dia. while throat size is 15.0 mm dia. An orifice meter of 25 mm size at inlet having a bore of 15.0 mm made up of brass is also to be provided. Both venturimeter and Orifice meter should be provided with two pressure tappings, one at upstream and other at throat (downstream) sections.
A 'U' tube differential manometer of 50 cm size has to be provided with common manifold to measure the pressure difference between two sections of venturimeter and orifice meter. A regulating valve has to be provided in the downstream side of the circuit to regulate the flow. supporting stand made from M.S. angle to support the pipe circuit has to be provided.
A collecting tank to measure discharge of size 40 cm x 40 cm and 30 cm high to be fabricated from 1.5 mm thick S.S. sheet. The tank is to be provided with gauge glass tube, flow diverting arrangement and a drain valve of 25 mm size. Necessary G.I. piping system & flexible pipe of suitable size, necessary fitting and control valve are provided with the apparatus.

Reynold’s Apparatus – Supply and installation of complete set Apparatus should consist of a close circuit through which water is circulated continuously by means of a centrifugal pump of 25 mm x 25 mm with 0.5 H.P. Motor to make the supply from sump tank. A sump tank 90 cm long, 40 cm wide and 30 cm high fabricated with 1.5 mm thick S.S. sheet is to be provided. Storage cum supply tank 30 cm x 30 cm and 60 cm high fabricated with 1.5mm thick S.S. sheet should be provided with the apparatus. The tank should have the provision for supplying coloured liquid dye in the Perspex pipe. A perspex acrylic pipe of 25 mm dia, 90 cm long is to be provided to visualize the flow. The entry of water in perspex pipe is through elliptical bell mouth made of brass to have smooth flow at the entry. A regulation valve with a bend is to be provided on the downstream side of the perspex pipe to regulate the flow. The supply tank should be provided with gauge glass tube. The tank should have the provision of over flow to maintain the constant head in the tank. The above unit is to be supported on the stand fabricated from M.S. angle. A collecting tank to measure discharge of size 30 cm x 40 cm and 30 cm high to befabricated from 1.5 mm thick S.S. sheet. The tank is to be provided with gauge glass tube, flow diverting arrangement and a drain valve of 25 mm size. Necessary G.I. piping system & flexible pipe of suitable size, necessary fitting and control valve are provided with the apparatus.

Liquid limit apparatus - The liquid limit data of soils is useful to correlated mechanical properties of soil, such as compressively and lower shear strength. Liquid limit is water content at which soil passes from zero strength to an infinitesimal strength; hence the true value of liquid limit cannot be determined. Apparatus shall consists of a mild steel beam 2.5 cm x 0.3 cm in cross section and 100 cm long, pinned to two supports 70 cm apart situated symmetrically. Three Hinged arch Complete setup with Weights, Dial gauges & magnetic bases; Description:
The model should have a span of 100 cm and rise 25 cm, with hinges at supports and crown. One of the end rests on rollers. Along the horizontal span of the arch various points are marked at equidistant for the application of load. Apparatus shall consists of an angle size 1” x 1” x 1/8” or in equivalent metric units of length 80 cm is tied as a cantilever beam.
