Raising and maintenance of avenue plantation under Remediation plan along coal transport route at S;Clearing unwanted growth to a width of 3 m on both sides parallel to the road (to be done during Nov-Dec) which will create a fireline preventing spread of ground fire from adjacent agricultural field.

Raising and maintenance of avenue plantation under Remediation plan along coal transport route at S;Application of inorganic fertilizers like 25 gms of urea (2 month after planting, i.e. in August) and 50 gms of DAP (4 months after planting, i.e. in October). Fertilizer application shall be made by making 3 holes of 10 cm depth with crow bar at a distance of 20 cm away from plant and putting ferilizer and closing. This work needs to be monitored by Plantation-in-charge Officer at the time of application and needs to be entered in Plantation Journal.

Raising and maintenance of avenue plantation under Remediation plan along coal transport route at S;Brush wood fencing (where HDPE self supporting tree guards are not used) fencing around the plant including collection, transportation and fixing at site (size of 1 m dia and 1.5 m height) - Thorny fencing with sturdy thorn material of 10 cm girth (at the butt end) and fixing in crow bar holes and strengthening with stone packing. The fence should be tightened horizontally by tying with thorny reepers leaving at least 1 from the ground to do the weeding by specially designed scrappers. Local tender shall be called for erection of fencing in raising year and, if possible, including maintainance for next 2 years (if planting is taken up without HDPE self supporting tree guard).

Raising and maintenance of avenue plantation under Remediation plan along coal transport route at S;WATERING - To be done through tractor-fitted water tanker (preferably by calling tender) with benchmark for survival (90%) and average incremental growth of 1.0 m by end of raising year (i.e. 3.0 m height by end of March of raising year) - irrespective of plantation raised departmentally or through contractor by tender process. Minimum of 15 liter per plant with a Water Tanker - Staff will locate the casualty points under casualty replacement process, if any, and keep the pits ready for replacement before watering, so that the fresh tall plants get established easily. The Plantation-in-charge Officer should record the watering operation in Watering Watch Register and M-Book on the same day of watering. (i) For the plantation raised in June - July: One watering on the day of planting : 1 watering, June - two watering on non rainy days : 2 Waterings, July to September -
