Maintenance of BPA Siding for 2 years period;Maintenance of track to Railway standards including correcting alignment defects, keeping rails in required level, maintaining gauge with in permissible limits, through packing of sleepers once in 6 months, straightening of the tie bars, pulling back creep, squaring of sleepers and providing contractors creep anchors, lubricating rail joints, greasing switches, Daily foot inspection by contractors key man of competent person, Providing clear visibility, Protection of track for safety, cleaning of drains periodically, replacement of isolated broken rails, sleepers, fittings etc., making up the embankment at times of rain cuts and erosions, protection of track boundaries, track and track fittings and co-coordinating with South Central Railway for getting track fitness certificate by the Contractor as per scope of work as indicated in invitation of tender. Note:- 1. The approximate length of siding to be maintained as equated KMs length of Railway track. 2. Equated KMs means length of track + allowances given for points and crossings etc. as per Railways standards. 3. The minimum strength of maintenance crew for every 8 KMs track shall be Gangmen-10 (semi-skilled), Keyman-1 (skilled), Mate-1(skilled). Further contractor shall engage one Gang man extra for every additional 1KM length of track and part thereof. Besides, the contractor has to engage qualified Site Engineer. Incase of short fall of any of the crew member, penalty @ rate of 2 times the prevailing minimum wages of respective catogery will be imposed. The contractor or his authorised representative should be available at the time of emergencies, de-railment etc. The gang, mate should interact regularly with concerned CHP authorities to assess/know/ inform about emergencies/de-Railments/track defects etc. and to attend immediately. 4. The required materials like rails, sleepers, points and crossings etc. will be issued to the contractor at free of cost at stores of the concerned area. The same have to be transported to work spot at his own cost. The removed materials are to be handed over in the stores at the cost of the contractor only as per the instructions of the Engineer -in charge. 5. The materials if any damaged due to improper maintenance and handling have to be replaced by the contractor at his cost.
