The bidder must have successfully completed or substantially completed similar works with specific value and percentage requirements. The requirements are as follows: (i) Three similar works costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, (ii) Two similar works costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, or (iii) One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. These works must have been completed within the last 07 years. In the case of composite works, the requirements are: (i) Three similar works costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, (ii) Two similar works costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, or (iii) One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. For a subcontractor, the subcontractor must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required.
