Southern Railway Tender

The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 (seven) years: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 30% of the advertised value of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of the advertised value of the tender, (iii) One similar work costing not less than the amount equal to 60% of the advertised value of the tender. Similar work is defined as "Cutting/Stripping/Repair/Assembly/Maintenance/Manufacture and supply of Components/Sub-assemblies of Railway Rolling Stock (Coach/Wagon/DEMU/MEMU/SPART/Locomotive/Metro Coach) in any unit of Indian Railways/Public Sector Undertaking unit" or "Steel fabrication for defense/shipping establishments/Railways applications/Heavy duty mobile machinery & plants for Govt. Sector, manufactures for Structural works of Refineries, Chemical, Cement Industries". The bidder must have a minimum average annual contractual turnover of V/N or "V" whichever is less, where V = Advertised value of the tender in crores of Rupees and N = Number of years prescribed for completion of work for which bids have been invited. No specific percentage of similar works completed is mentioned for selection, but the value of similar work done is considered for selection. A Performance Guarantee (PG) amounting to 5% of the original contract value is required to be submitted within 21 days from the date of issue of Letter of Acceptance (LOA).
