The required prior work experience for the bidder varies based on the value of the contract and the qualifications of the personnel. For contracts valued between Rs.10.00 Lakhs to Rs.25.00 Lakhs, the bidder should have one B.E., (Civil) or equivalent Degree holder with three years experience in Civil Engineering works or not less than one Retired Sub-Divisional Officers plus one Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering or Two Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering with three and five years experience respectively. For contracts valued between Rs.25.00 Lakhs to Rs.50.00 Lakhs, the bidder should have one B.E., (Civil) or equivalent Degree holder with three years experience or not less than one Retired Sub-Divisional Officer (Assistant Executive Engineer, Or Assistant Divisional Engineer) plus two Diploma Holders in Civil Engineering or two Retired Junior Engineers. Alternatively, the bidder can also have one B.E., (Civil) or equivalent degree holder with three years experience or not less than one Retired Sub Divisional Officer (AEE or ADE) plus one more BE (Civil) or equivalent Degree Holder. A Degree holder with 5 years experience (or) not less than two retired Sub Divisional Officer (Assistant Executive Engineer or Assistant Divisional Engineer) is required for the position of B.E Civil (or) equivalent. Additionally, Diploma holders in Civil Engineering with 2 years of experience (or) retired Junior Engineers are also required. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed at least one road work of similar nature with a value not less than Rs.171.95 Lakhs under a single agreement in any one of the preceding three years. The bidder should have completed works costing at least 50% of the value of the work put to tender in a single contract within the last three years period, as prime contractor on road construction works of similar nature.
