Attending unserviceable/ non functional street light complaints (for street light / perimeter lights / high mast light / flood light / HPSV / HPMV / MH fittings etc of any type / size fitted on poles / walls / post / pillars etc including taking down LED street light/perimeter lights/high mast light/flood light /HPSV/HPMV/MH fittings of any watts and refixing the same to its original location after rectification of fault ) by deploying technically qualified and experienced technicians to find out defect / taking out unserviceable parts such as electronic driver, plc. insulated copper conductor cable for connecting street light fittings etc and repairing by changing the defective parts including minor repair to cable connection/loose connection, screws, nuts & bolts and insulation tape to insulate the LT joint etc and testing complete all as specified and as directed at both domestic & technical area AF Station Sulur.

Note for item No.1 The following items are deemed to be inclusive of quoted rate :-(a) The job shall be carried out by a trained ITI qualified electrician ( in electrical). Documentary proof of the education of tradesman shall be produced before commencement of work. (b) The required quantity of 'Supply only' items (quantity as ordered by Engineer-in-Charge) shall be delivered / supplied to AGE E/M store yard within one calendar month from the date of commencement of contract and these items will be issued by AGE E/M store yard for attending unserviceable/ defective street light complaints. (c) The Contractor or his Authorised Representative has to inspect all Street / Security Lights on Daily basis at their own arrangement between 7.00 PM to 9.00 PM and maintain the record in Register which will be put up to Engineer-in-Charge/ JE on the very Next day. (d) A Joint Inspection for Serviceability of all Street / Security Lights will be carried out from 7.00 PM to 9.00 PM on every MONDAY by Engineer-in-Charge/ JE (E/M)/ User along with Contractor or his authorised Representative. (e) The Contractor has to arrange own movable Generator of suitable capacity for repairing and testing of the Street/ Security Lights, defect rectification of Cables, etc. and to check the serviceability after repair. Electricity shall not be provided by the Department on this account. (f) Quoted Unit Rate shall deemed to be inclusive of attending any breakdown of Street/ Security Lights during night time. Contractor has to arrange Electrician and Helper including all necessary T&P and Equipment's to remove the breakdown. Fault will be intimated through Telephone/ SMS. (g) In case of any delay in attending the complaint more than 12 hrs after handing over routine/urgent work, the contractor shall be liable to pay the penalty as described in penalty clause given here as under. (h) The penalty shall be applicable to the contractor if the contractor fails to rectify the defects / break down within twelve hrs after intimation of works of urgent nature to the contractor. The Engr-in-Charge shall handover the complaint slip showing specification of work to the carried out by the contractor with date and time of intimation and contractor shall sign in the office copy of slip as a token of receipt. The contractor shall attend the complaint immediately and shall report to Engr-in-Charge within 12 hrs. The contractor will keep his tradesmen in standby for attending any routine / urgent works from the executive. If the nature of job is such that the work cannot be completed within period of 12hrs then the facts shall be brought to the notice of the GE/Engr-in-Charge and the period for the working to the complaint shall be decided by the GE/EIC. If the delay is more then twelve hrs period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay, then a penalty @ Rs 100/- per job shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor. Please note that this penalty is exclusively of any penalty as per condition 56 of IAFW - 2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall be enforce above as and when delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Deptt. The decision of the Accepting Officer is this regards shall be final and binding.

Note for item No.1 (contd...) (j) Contractor has to ensure serviceability of all Street/ Security Lights of DOMESTIC & TECHNICAL AREA on Daily basis in any Weather Condition at their own arrangement. (k) Contractor shall provide conveyance to the deployed labour for maintaining the services without any extra cost to department. (l) Vehicle mounted ladder for maintaining services shall be provided by the contractor at no extra cost to department. (m) Materials required for the repairing of the lights shall be measured and paid separately under respective item(s) as 'supply only'. However labour required for taking down / dismantling existing fittings, repairing and replacing parts with new or re-installing and testing the street lights fittings shall deemed to be included in the rate quoted. (n) Necessary T&P, Safety Belt, Vehicle, Aluminium Ladder, etc. will be arranged by the Contractor and Cost for the same shall deem to be included in the Quoted Unit Rate. (o) All safety measures and provn of all safety devices, first aid box etc shall be provided by the contractor. Contractor will be solely responsible for the safety of the persons deployed by him for providing the services and department will have no liability for any type of accident/injury of any type. Unit rate quoted shall be deemed to include the cost of the same and no extra payment shall be made on this part. (p) All type of T & P, PVC insulation tapes, minor nuts/ bolts/ washers etc required for maintaining the services shall be provided by the contractor without any extra cost to department. (q) Attending and repairing complaint for one light of any type shall be measured and paid as one Job. (r) Earth work (if necessary at Site) for removing of any Cable Fault will be Measured and Paid under respective Items. (s) The contractor shall maintain a record of all urgent work at and if the work to be repeated due to poor workmanship, the contractor shall be liable to repair the same without any extra expenditure to the Govt. (t) Contractor shall provide contact details of his responsible person(s) to JE / Engineer in charge for intimation of any emergency. (u) Any replaced Materials which are not specified in SCHEDULE OF CREDITshall be deposited to MES STORE YARD without any extra Cost to the Department.
