(viii) In case of major defect, the period for attending of complaint shall be decided by the GE/EIC by accessing extent of repair required through joint inspection by Engineer-in-Charge and authorised service agent of the equipment at the site. If complaint is not rectified within the stipulated period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs. 500/- per hours shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor.

(ix) Note that penalty is exclusively other then the condition 56 of IAFW-2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall be enforce above as and when delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Deptt. (vi) In case the nature of job is such that the work cannot be completed within a period of 6 hrs then the same shall be brought to the notice of the GE/Engr-in-Charge and the period for the completion of the complaint shall be decided by the GE/EIC and the same complaint shall be completed with in the period decided by the GE/EIC.The penalty of Rs 5000/ per Job shall also be applicable to the contractor for non-completion of complaint with in the time decided by the GE/EIC.

(vii) Transportation charges for transportation of transformer from site to workshop and after repair, workshop to site shall be borne by the contractor and cost thereof including tools and plants shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for this item.

(viii) Transformer oil shall be drained out by the contractor in suitable capacity mild steel drums to be arranged by the contractor. The said drained out transformer oil shall be refilled in the transformer duly dehydrated after repair and the cost thereof shall be included in unit rate quoted against the respective item of this schedule.

(ix) Testing of transformer after repair shall be carried out as per IS 2026 (Part 1): 2011 at site in the presence of E-in- Charge/ JE and the cost of testing shall be deemed to be included in unit rate quoted against this item.

(x) The IR value of the dried winding before inserting the core in the shell shall be measured and recorded.
