The required prior work experience for the bidder varies by class. For a contractor enlisted in class ‘C’ having a tendering limit of 100 lakh, proposed to be upgraded to class ‘A’ having a tendering limit of 7.50 Crore, the minimum value of works completed shall be: - Two works completed costing not less than 5.00 crore each (1.25 x 4.00) - Or one work costing not less than 7.50 Crore (1.25 x 6.00) The average annual turnover should be more than 1.25 times the requirement, which in this case is 7.5 Crore (1.25 x 6.00). No specific percentage of similar works completed is mentioned. However, it is stated that the contractor should have completed works in the relevant category, and the experience of the contractor in similar works will be considered. The average marks secured in Performance Reports for the works completed in the last five years should not be less than 70%.
