Item No. 3 Contd.... (b) Protection system (i) Self powered over load current & earth fault protection relay (3 O/C + 1 E/ F) with data communication mode as per standards. Short Circuit and earth fault indicator complete all as per standard norms. (ii) Master trip relay protection. (iii) RMUs should have extensive interlocking to prevent safety during wrong operation. (iv) RMU should have Protection against moistures. (c) Metering system ;- (i) Ammeter and voltmeter with selector switches, frequency meter, three phase presence indicator, breaker 'ON' and 'OFF' indication lamp (complete metering unit for all incomer and outgoing side). (d) Provn for auto and manual charging of the operating system of 'ON' and 'OFF' (e) Provn of motor operated spring stored energy trip and closing coil system (f) Auxiliary switches as suitable for system at (d) and (e) above (g) Set of CTs both for metering unit and protection unit with duel core of ratio 100/50/5 amps, 15 VA burden Cl 1 complete. (h) Set of PT's resin cast, 3 phase, 11 KV. (PT Ratio : 11000/ 110 V, Cl 0.5 , 50VA) (j) Necessary HT & LT fuses/ MCBs for metering and protection (k) Power and control wiring with copper cables (l) Any other accessories, control which are required as per standard norms and engineering practice, IE rules to ensure system safe for operation and maintenance of Ring main unit switchgear. (m) Auxiliary power supply unit (Power backup supply)for operation of relays, meters complete all as per standard norms. Note :- (i) Unit rate shall included the cost of danger notice board, foundation as required as per OEM recommendation/ all connection complete shall be included in the rate quoted. (ii) The RMU have Indoor type & factory made Testing & setting of relays of HT panels. VCBs/ RMU shall be done by original Equipment Manufactured (OEM) and inspection by the representative of the accepting officer shall be carried out in the premises of the manufacturer’s factory premises before dispatch. Contractor shall be responsible for intimation to the accepting officer and GE well in advance so that representative of the accepting officer can be detailed timely. All the arrangements & expenses for visit the factory inspection & tests shall be borne by the contractor without any extra cost. Factory Inspection sheet also submitted by the contractor before dispatch the material.

M&L for earthing complete with galvanised iron earth plate electrode of size 600 mm x 600 mm x 6 mm thick, buried directly and preferably vertically in ground, earth pit not less than 2.25 Mtr deep below ground level with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 m below ground level connected with and including galvanised earth (GI) strip of size 32 x 6mm by means of nuts, bolts, check nuts and washers made of galvanised iron or steel earthing lead to be protected by galvanised iron pipe 40 mm bore (light grade) and other end connected to earthing test point or lightening arrestor or main controlling switch as directed including providing funnel with 20mm bore galvanised iron pipe (medium grade), wire mesh, charcoal or coke and common salt in alternate layer of 15cm (compacted thickness) all round the earth electrode, concrete earth pit in PCC (1:3:6) type C-1 (with 20mm graded aggregate), with cover frame of suitable size with one handle for lifting and necessary excavation and earth work and all other relevant works including testing complete all as specified and shown in electrical plate No.3 of MES Schedule Part-I . Note:- The quoted rate shall include the cost of GI strip size 32 x 6mm upto 7.5 m length.

Excavation in trenches not exc. 1.5 metre wide and not exc. 1.5 metre in depth and getting out etc in any type of soil for laying cable complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- Mechanical excavation is not allowed in the site, only manual excavation allowed.

Returning and filling in two parts (i) using riddled soil obtain from excavated soil upto depth of 30 cm (8 cm below cable and remaining above cable) for cushioning of cable and (ii) refilling the trench of remaining depth with normal excavated soil all as specified and directed. Note:- Excavated soil shall be riddled by using sieve to separate composite particles etc and refilling in trenches as in cable cushioning.

Removing surplus soils to a distance not exceeding 50 mtr and depositing where directed at a level not exc. 1.5 mtr above the starting point all complete as specified and as directed.

Supply and laying un-reinforced precast concrete cable cover, class HV, type 1 with peak, size 300 mm x 180 mm x 40 mm laid across the axis of the cable all complete as specified and as directed.

Supply and fixing/laying in replacement 100 mm bore, steel tubing's galvanized, light grade with all fittings fixing along the electric cable laying in trench or pole / wall for protection of cable complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Plain Cement Concrete 1:2:4 type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate for coping around poles, filing of road cuttings, repair of PCC Path etc ,including provision of necessary form work, finishing even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

S&F cable route indicator over the HT cables made out of cast iron block of size 15 x 10 cm and thickness 10mm fixed with angle iron 35x35x3mm, 800mm long painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint cover a coat of red oxide primer and marked with 'MES HT cable 120 sqmm' or 'Loop of HT Cable 120 sqmm' as required on cast iron block including PCC block 1:2:4 type B1 incl excavation and earth work complete all as specified and as directed.
