Technical Capacity
The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience as a prime contractor or sub-contractor, with details of the number of years of experience in their own country and other countries. The bidder should have successfully completed at least one contract of at least 40% of the value of the proposed contract, which is Rs.202.64 lakhs, in any one year within the last five years. This translates to a contract value of at least Rs.81.05 lakhs.
The bidder should also have an average annual turnover of 40% of the value of the contract applied for, which is Rs.202.64 lakhs, over the last five years. Additionally, the bidder should have experience in similar nature of work, including specific items such as lighting in the Pier Protection area, lighting on the Bridge, and lighting in the Ramp area.
The bidder should also demonstrate access to or have available liquid assets, working capital, or credit facilities of not less than 10% of the contract, which is Rs.50.70 lakhs, and should have completed a minimum quantity of works, including 138 nos. of 9000mm pole with Double Arm Monalpole and 112 nos. of 120W LED Street Light, in any one year during the last five years.
For technical personnel, the required prior work experience is 3 years of experience in similar works, with specific qualifications such as B.E Degree Holder in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Diploma Holder in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
The bidder should be a registered Class – I contractor in the Tamil Nadu Highways Department and should have a bid capacity of 5.07 crores to execute the work. The bidder will indicate the details of work executed project-wise in a summary sheet separately, including actual figures of costs and amounts with the year of completion of work.
In terms of specific values and percentages of similar works completed, the bidder should have completed at least 40% of the value of the proposed contract, which is Rs.202.64 lakhs, in any one year within the last five years, and should have an average annual turnover of 40% of the value of the contract applied for over the last five years. The bidder should also demonstrate access to or have available liquid assets, working capital, or credit facilities of not less than 10% of the contract, which is Rs.50.70 lakhs.
