The bid capacity required in the given tender can be calculated using the formula: Bid capacity = AxNx1.5 - B Where: A = Maximum annual turnover in any one year during the last five years (updated to 2023-24 price level), N = Number of years prescribed for completion of works for which bids are invited, B = Value, at price 2023-24 level, of existing commitments and on-going works to be completed during the period of completion of the works for which bids are invited. Additionally, the bid capacity should meet the following conditions: - Average annual financial turnover during the last 5 years ≥ 50% of estimated cost - Annual turnover in any one of the last five years ≥ 1.50 times the value of work - Liquid assets and/or credit facilities ≥ 30% of tender value - Bid capacity > Value of the work The bidder should also have successfully completed similar building works during the last five years, with specific requirements for the number and value of these works in relation to the estimated cost. The bid capacity required can also be summarized as: - For similar completed works: - 3 works * 40% of estimated cost - 2 works * 50% of estimated cost - 1 work * 80% of estimated cost - For average annual financial turnover: - 50% of estimated cost (average over 5 years) - For working capital: - 30% of the tender value The bid capacity should be greater than the value of the work.
