Preparing black top bituminous surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air compressor through air jet to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a tack coat of bituminous primer using paving bitumen at the rate of 05 Kg per 10 Sqm of road surface , providing, laying, spreading 30mm thick (consolidated thickness) of premix semi dense asphaltic concrete with crushed and graded coarse aggregates with design mix formula with 5.5% bitumen binder content by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading uniformly by means of Mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller to a uniform smooth surfaces complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (Notes for srl item No 1 here-in-above: (i) Bitumen for tack-coat and for semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be paving bitumen VG-30 grade and shall be procured by the contractor under his own arrangement and at his own cost. (ii) Cost of all the materials,T & P, labour etc. required for preparation of surfaces , applying tack coat , providing and laying dense bituminous concrete including procurement of bitumen as specified here-in-before , stone aggregates & sand etc., rolling and all other elements required for entire completion of the job shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for SI No 1.00 here-in-before.)

Repairs to pot holes n.exc 1 square metre each, including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, on existing road surfaces, and making good by applying tack coat with bituminous primer at 05 Kg per 10 square metre , putting in pre mixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10 sqm blinded with 0.09 cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size again well rammed including supply of premixed macadam binder, and chipping complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (The depth of potholes n.exc 30 mm) ( Note:- Bitumen for paving/ tack coat and bituminous macadam shall be VG-30 grade bitumen.)

Providing, laying, spreading premix bituminous macadam with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with 4.5% of paving bitumen by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous macadam in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading by means of mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber consolidated (thickness 75 mm or less) with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
