The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having satisfactorily completed one similar work of value not less than 80% of the estimated cost of work, or two similar works each of value not less than 50% of the estimated cost of work, or three similar works each of value not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work. The bidder should have completed the similar work as a prime Contractor or as a nominated sub Contractor, where the subcontract involved execution of all main items of work described in the bid document, within the last five years ending the last day of the month previous to the one in which bids are invited. Additionally, the bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of 40% of the estimated cost of work in any one of the last three financial years. The bidder should also have available bid capacity of more than the estimated value of the project/work. The bidder should have experience in works such as earthwork, granular sub-base/base, RE walls, and concrete in bridges. The maximum value of Civil Engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years should be provided. The bidder should also have liquid assets and/or availability of credit facilities of an amount not less than the estimated cash flow for 3 months in the peak construction period. The bidder should also submit an undertaking that he will be able to invest a minimum cash up to 25% of the contract value of work during implementation of the work.
