The required prior work experience for the bidder includes completion of similar works. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed in the last five years as a prime Contractor (or as a nominated sub Contractor) one similar work of value not less than 80% of the estimated cost of work or two similar works each of value not less than 50% of the estimated cost of work or three similar works each of value not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work. Additionally, for works costing above Rs. 5.00 Crores, the bidder must provide a list of similar works completed during previous years, duly supported with performance certificates from the authority for whom the work has been completed. The bidder is also required to provide details of their experience in respect of earthwork, Granular sub-base/base, RE Walls, Concrete in bridges, and submit a certificate from the employer showing details of their share of work. The bidder is also required to provide information on their current commitments on all contracts that have been awarded, or for which a letter of intent or acceptance has been received, or for contracts approaching completion, but for which an unqualified, full completion certificate has yet to be issued.
