The bidder is expected to have experience in specific types of works such as Roads, Bridges, Airport, Railways, Tunneling, or others. They need to provide details about their experience in earthwork, Granular sub-base/base, RE Walls, Concrete in bridges, and submit a certificate from the employer showing details of their share of work. For qualification, the bidder should have satisfactorily completed, in the last five years, one similar work of value not less than 80% of the estimated cost of work, or two similar works each of value not less than 50% of the estimated cost of work, or three similar works each of value not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work. The bidder is required to give details of the value of the total contract and the date of award and completion, as well as information about the contract duration in years and months. They should also provide information about the nature of works and special features relevant to the contract for which they wish to pre-qualify. The bidder needs to submit testimonials/clients' certificates in support of their claim, and in case of a contract value in foreign currency, the figures are to be given in the relevant currency. The bidder should have a good financial standing and should provide an undertaking that their available bid capacity is more than the estimated value of the project/work. They should also submit an undertaking that they will be able to invest a minimum cash up to 25% of the contract value of work during implementation. Additionally, the bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of 40% of the estimated cost of work in any one of the last three financial years. Key personnel requirements include a Project/Work Manager with at least 2 years of experience, a Construction Engineer with a BE (Civil) degree, and a Diploma Engineer with a Dip. (Civil) degree and at least 3 years of experience in the respective category. The bidder should provide a list of similar works completed during previous years, duly supported with performance certificates from the authority for whom the work has been completed, including the name of the work, estimated cost, date of start, and date of completion for works above a certain value. The values of works can be updated to current price levels by enhancing the value of executed works at the rate given in the BDS. The bidder needs to provide information on their current commitments, including the name of the contract, location, nature of work, contract number and date, percentage and amount of participation, and percentage and amount subcontracted, as well as a summary sheet with details of their current contract commitments. The bidder's available bid capacity is calculated using a formula that takes into account the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year, the number of years prescribed for completion of the project, and the value of existing commitments. The bidder must provide certificates duly signed by the Engineer-in-Charge to support their claims, and they should have a valid enlistment with the relevant authorities under the appropriate class and category of work for works within a certain value range.
