The bidder is required to have prior work experience in civil engineering works. For works above Rs 5.00 Crore, the bidder should have satisfactorily completed in the last five years, as a prime contractor (or as a nominated sub-contractor), one similar work of value not less than 80% of the estimated cost of work, or two similar works each of value not less than 50% of the estimated cost of work, or three similar works each of value not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work. Additionally, the bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of 40% of the estimated cost of work in any one of the last three financial years. The bidder should also have completed works with a value that is more than the estimated value of the project. Furthermore, if the bidder proposes to use named Sub-Contractor(s) for critical components of the works, or for work contents in excess of 10 percent of the value of the whole works, the bidder should provide information about the Sub-Contractor(s). The bid capacity of the prospective bidders will be calculated based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, using the formula (A* N* 2 - B), where A is the maximum value of civil engineering works executed, N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the project, and B is the value of existing commitments.
