The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having satisfactorily completed, as a prime Contractor, one similar work of value not less than 80% of the estimated cost of work, or two similar works each of value not less than 50% of the estimated cost of work, or three similar works each of value not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work. Additionally, specific roles within the bidder's team require the following experience: - Project/Work Manager: BE (Civil) with at least 2 years of experience - Site Engineer: BE (Civil) or Diploma (Civil) with at least 2 years of experience - Plant Engineer: B.E. (Mech.) or Dip. (Mech.) with at least 2 years of experience - Quality Control Engineer: B.E. (Civil) or Dip. (Civil) with at least 2 years of experience - Survey Engineer: ITI qualified Surveyor The bidder should also have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of 40% of the estimated cost of work in any one of the last three financial years. Furthermore, the bidder is required to provide details of their experience on similar works, including the type of works, contract value, and duration, but the exact percentage or value of similar works completed is specified in terms of the estimated cost of the work. The bidder must provide information on their annual turnover from construction works for the last three years. The bidder is also required to provide a particular construction experience record, including the detail of work and amount. The bidder's available bid capacity should be more than the estimated value of the project, calculated as (A*N*2 - B), where A is the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year, N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the project, and B is the value of existing commitments. The bidder should have an undertaking to invest a minimum cash up to 25% of the contract value of work during implementation. The bidder should also have a credit line or letter of credit or certificates from banks for meeting the funds requirement, usually the equivalent of the estimated cash flow for 3 months in the peak construction period.
