The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience as a Prime Contractor, in a Joint Venture, or as a Sub-Contractor, with experience in similar works. The bidder should have experience in their own country and other countries. For works above a certain amount, the bidder should have satisfactorily completed, in the last five years, one similar work of value not less than 80% of the estimated cost of work, or two similar works each of value not less than 50% of the estimated cost of work, or three similar works each of value not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work. The value of work may be enhanced at a simple rate of 8% per annum. However, specific values and percentages of similar works completed, such as the minimum value of one similar work, the minimum value of two similar works, and the minimum value of three similar works, are not specified. The bidder is required to provide information on the value of similar works completed, including the amount and percentage of work done, and provide details of their available bid capacity. The bidder must also provide an undertaking that their available bid capacity is more than the estimated value of the project/work. Additionally, the bidder is required to provide reports on their financial standing and an undertaking that they will be able to invest a minimum cash of up to 25% of the contract value of the work during its implementation.
