The required prior work experience for the bidder is related to the execution of civil engineering works, specifically Operation & Maintenance/ Construction work on 2/4/6 lane Expressway/National highway or State highway. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed similar works during the last seven years. The similar works can be one of the following: - three similar completed works costing not less than 40% each of the estimated cost, - two similar completed works costing not less than 50% each of the estimated cost, - one similar completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost. The work may have been executed by the Bidders as prime contractor or as a nominated/ approved sub-contractor. An escalation factor is provided to bring the value of such completed works to the level of the current financial year, with multiplying factors ranging from 1.10 to 1.95 for works completed during the last 7 years. The bidder must also provide information on their total value of similar type work performed in the last three years, with a breakdown of the average per year. No specific amount is mentioned as a requirement for the prior work experience. However, the bidder's past work will be evaluated based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last three years, with an escalation factor applied to bring the value to the current financial year. The bidder should have achieved an average annual financial turnover equal to the amount indicated, duly certified by a Chartered Accountant.
