Notes : 1. The contractor shall quote the rate against Item considering 4% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per clause No 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th Rev) for BC shall be carried out from any Govt Engg College Laboratory/ MES approved laboratory for obtaining optimum binder content (OBC) by the Contractor without any financial effect to the Dept and same be submitted to the accepting officer for approval. The cost for design mix thereof shall be deemed to be included in quoted unit rate. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted @ 42/kg of binder and no adjustment shall be made on plus side. 2. The BM shall be covered with top layer/wearing course within in a maximum of 48 hours. If ther is to be any delay, by the contractor the course shall be covered by seal coat to the requirement of Clause 512 of MORTH (5th Rev) before opening to the traffic. The seal coat in such cases shall be considered incidental to the work and shall not be paid for separately.

M&L for preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brush for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning to cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc from black top surface & then providing and laying Premix Bituminous concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder (paving bitumen of grade VG-30) content by weight of total mix and crushed aggregates of grading 2 with mixing of agrgregates and VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hyrdostatic paver finisher and as per approved mix and rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 507 MORTH (5th Rev) specification and as specified and directed.

Cost of filler i.e. cement (Ordinary portland cement/OPC) is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate. 3. After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonne (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonne static weight, followed by finished rolling with 6 to 8 tonne smooth wheel tendom roller as per Clause Nos. 507.4.8 and cost of the same is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate.

M & L for 2.5mm thick road marking thermo plastic reflective paint to be carried out mechanically with hot application of material (painting material @ 5 Kg /Sqm ) and glass beads @ 250 gm/Sqm confirming to CI No. 803.4 of MoRTH in strips of 100/150 mm width on road surfaces complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F in replacement Retro reflective informatory signage and boards, made up of 2mm thick aluminium sheet, face to be fully covered with high intensity and encapsulated lence type heat activated retro reflective sheeting confirming to type-III of ASTMD-4596-01, letters, borders, etc as per IRC:67-2001 in silver white with blue colour background and with high intensity grade pasted on substrate by pressure sensitive adhesive backing which shall be activated by applying pressure confirming to class-II of ASTM-D-4956-01 and fixing the same to the plate of structural frame work by means suitable sized aluminium alloys, rivets or bolts & nuts @ 300 mm c/c all along the periphery complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note : Size of PCC (1:2:4 type B-1) block for embedding frame work shall be 30cmx30cmx45cm and cost of PCC incl necessary earthwork is deemed to be included in the rate of this item.

Material & Labour for providing and fixing stainless steel (Grade 304) railing/ frame made of hollow tubes, channels, plates etc., including welding, grinding, buffing, polishing and making curvature (where ever required) and fitting the same with necessary stainless steel nuts and bolts complete, including fixing the railing with necessary accessories & stainless steel dash fasteners, stainless steel bolts etc., of required size, on the top of floor or the side of waist slab with suitable arrangement.
