Note :- (i) The design mix formula shall be got carried out from any Govt Engg College or MES Laboratory and the same shall be approved by GE. The cost of transportation charges for testing of material shall be borne by the contractor and the rates are included in this item & nothing shall be paid extra on this account. (ii) 5.5% binder content has been specified for quoting purpose of bid. If the quantity of the bitumen exceeds the 5.5% as mentioned above, no plus price adjustment shall be made. If the quantity of bitumen required as per design mix formula works out less than 5.5%, the recovery of the supply only bitumen shall be effected @ Rs. 50/- per Kg complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for preparing black top surface by brushing with wire brush for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with air pressure through air jet using air compressor to remove all the loose dirt etc. including removing the mud etc. to a distance minimum 1.5 mtrs from edge of road and applying evenly a tack coat of bituminous primer using paving bitumen (VG-10) @ 5Kg per 10 sqm of road surface by sprayer operated hot pressure mechanism including supplying, laying, spreading 30 mm consolidated thickness of semi dense asphaltic concrete grading 2, maximum aggregate size 9.5 mm, with job mix formula using paving bitumen (VG-30) @ 5.0% binder content by weight of total mix using mechanical paver for levelling within the specified tolerance as specified in SSR Part-I, rolled and consolidated to required camber and gradient with power roller for uniform smooth surface etc. complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
