M&L for 150mm thick (spread thickness) soiling (or sub base) with broken boulders or quarried stone of gauge 40mm to 80mm deposited spread levelled in one layer interstices filled, surface formed and rolled and consoildated to required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specifed and directed.

M&L 150 mm thick (two layers of 75mm thick each) compacted thickness water bound macadam with coarse aggregate using sand stone of grading (63 to 40mm size) aggregate grading 3 (50 to 20mm size) aggregate of granite/basalt watered and rolled with 8 to 12 tonne power rollerand consoildated to gradient and required camber granite,trap or basalt complete all as specified. complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparing water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags and air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc.and applying a tack coat of paving bitumen of grade VG-10 @ 10 Kg per 10 Sqm for premix bituminous carpet all as specified and directed.

Providing and laying Premix Bituminous macadam of consolidated thickness n. exc. 50mm, using paving bitumen binder of grade VG-30 @ and binder content of 4% by weight of total mix with mixing of aggregates and VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hydrostatic paver finisher (Paver shall not be compulsory in case of patch work using B.M.) and as per approved mix and rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 504 MoRTH (5th Rev) specification and as specified and directed. NOTES : 1. The contractor shall quote the rate against Item considering 4% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per CI. No. 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th Rev) for BM shall be worked out from Thapar Insti. of Engg & Tech Patiala/NIT Kurukhshetra /PEC Chandigarh/CTL for obtaining optimum binder content (OBC) by the Contractor without any financial effect to the Dept and same be submitted to the accepting officer for approval. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted @ 42/kg of binder and no adjustment shall be made on plus side. 2. The BM shall be covered with top layer/wearing course within in a maximum of 48 hours. If there is to be any delay, by the contractor the course shall be covered by seal coat to the requirement of Clause 512 of MORTH (5th Rev) before opening to the traffic. The seal coat in such cases shall be considered incidental to the work and shall not be paid for separately. 3. Only packed paving bitumen VG-30 shall be used and same shall also be verified by GE on ground before start of execution of work.

M/L preparing existing black top surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning to cleaned surface with gunny bags and air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc from black top surface , Applying evenly a premix /tack coat with bitumen grade VG-10 @ 5.0 Kg per 10 Sqm complete all as specified and as directed. Note : This item shall be used only where BM is in patches and to be covered by top layer after 48 hours.

Providing and laying Premix Bituminous concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder (paving bitumen of grade VG-30) content by weight of total mix and crushed aggregates of grading 2 with mixing of agrgregates and VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hyrdostatic paver finisher and as per approved mix and rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 507 MORTH (5th Rev) specification and as specified and directed. NOTES : 1. The contractor shall quotes the rate against Item considering 5.5% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per CIause. No. 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th Rev) for BC shall be worked out from Thapar Insti. of Engg & Tech. Patiala/ NIT Kurukshetra/ PEC Changigarh/ CTL for obtaining Optimum Binder Content (OBC) by the Contractor without any financial effect to the Dept and same be submitted to the accepting officer for approval. Cost of filler i.e. cement (Ordinary portland cement/OPC) is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate. 3. After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonne (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonne static weight, followed by finished rolling with 6 to 8 tonne smooth wheel tendom roller as per Clause Nos. 507.4.8 and cost of the same is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate.

Marking strips, straight line, Zebra crossing and stop line not less than 2.5mm thick with hot applied thermoplastic road marking paint of make Shivalik (Prismo) (white or yellow) by using automatic mechanical road painting machine and glass beads @ 250 gm/Sqm confirming to CI No. 803.4 of MoRTH in strips on road surfaces complete all as directed.

M&L for factory made rubber moulded pre-cast cement concrete type B1 1:2:4 (20 mm graded aggregate) of size 300 x 300 x 100 mm and fixing in CM 1:4 as in Kerb stone use with plain fair faces, including chamfers, weatherings,throat- ing etc. and setting in mortar complete with joints to match including embedding in the ground to depths indicated and tamping ground around and also for removing any surplus spoil to a distance n. exc. 50 mtrs complete all as specified.
