M&L for earthing complete with galvanized iron or steel or steel earth plate electrode of size 60cmx60cmx6.3mm thick buried directly in ground, vertically to a depth not less than 2.25 mtr below normal ground level with top edge of earth plate at depth of not less than 1.5 mtr below ground level surrounded from all sides with alternate layers of charcoal and common salt and connected to GI Strip of size 32x6 mm by means of GI bolts, nuts washers & check nuts electrode connected to main switch board or main control board or on poles or on transformer and GI pipe light grade 20 mm bore for watering including providing funnel and wire mesh GI frame and 10 cm thick suitably reinforced RCC pit cover PCC chamber pit with PCC 1:3:6 type C2 using 40mm graded stone aggregates complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge including excavation and earth work, disposal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 mtr all as specified and shown in plate No 5 of SRR-1991 Part-1.

M&L for Earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 60 cm x 60 cm x 6 mm thick surrounded with charcoal and salt, buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 metre deep below ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5 metre below normal ground level connected to galvanized earth lead wire 4 mm dia by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanized iron or steel all as shown in electrical Plate No 3 of MES SSR Part-I connected to main switch board or main control board all as specified and testing on completion including provision of earth wire protected by galvanized iron 15 mm dia light grade pipe and watering pipe shall be 20 mm bore light grade including all excavation and earth work in any type of soil, PCC pit with pre-cast RCC cover, charcoal/salt, funnel etc complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing aluminum thimbles crimping type of size 16 to 25 Sqmm complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing aluminum thimbles crimping type of size 50 to 120 Sqmm complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Taking out old defective service cable/underground cable from trenches/floors/road/wall/pipe/pole LT cable of any size/description including segregating the serviceable cable by cutting down defective portion after testing by meggar and relaying complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. (Note : Excavation and earth work will be measured separately under respective item)

Supply, Laying, jointing and testing XLPE insulated LT cable, 1100 volts grade (heavy duty) with stranded aluminium conductor, cross sectional area 10 Sqmm 2 core fixed along the poles or passing through pipes or laid under floors or through walls complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note : Earthwork, sand cushioning, brick protection and GI pipe to be measured and paid for separately under respective items.

Material and labour for sand cushioning with a layer of sand 8cm thick before laying of cable and 15 cm thick after laying of cable in trenches complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note : For payment purposes 18cm thickness shall be considered.

Supply & laying old size sub class 'B' bricks laid flat in trenches over the cable with the length of brick perpendicular to the direction of cable length, adjacent/abutting each other complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for straight through joint (epoxy) for LT 1100 Volts grade, aluminum conductor including jointing kits, aluminium ferrules and labour complete for making joints and testing size 70 to 95 Sqmm, 3.5 core complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

All as per Item No 28 above but cable size 25 to 50 Sqmm, 3.5 core complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

All as per item No 28 above but cable size 10 to 16 Sqmm, 4.0/2.0 core complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing in replacement 50mm dia pipe for GI protection, light grade for cable protection incl all fittings laid in trenches or fixed on pole all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing in replacement 80mm dia pipe for GI protection, light grade for cable protection incl all fittings laid in trenches or fixed on pole all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Taking down old unsv main switches any type and S&F of new street light switch using timer for automatic switching of street light based on LUX level of natural light, The sensor along with suitable power contactor MCB support terminal shell be housed in enclosure made out of anti rust/ shock proof/ termite proof/ confirming to IP54 suitable for 16Amp load (Contactor shall be used of Make of ABB/BCH/Legrand/ Indo Asian/Havells or equivalent in list of makes as mentioned in Appx B-1.

M & L for Locating & pinpointing conductor and insulation faults of low and high resistance, intermittent or flashing nature in XLPE LT underground power cables of the rating 415Volt with the help of Pre-locator with time domain laptop based reflectometer/ electrometer using pulse echo method, impulse current method & decay method, and using DC high voltage surge generator to produce surge to trace route and pinpointing fault with the help of dual channel digital sound system, magnetic & acoustic for location of fault with acoustic transducer (pickup) and the amplifier with headphones, after pinpointing of fault location necessary excavation upto 10 mtr length and taking out of faulty cable for repair/replacement of joint, relaying of cable/ cover & brick protection, refilling of soil and removal of surplus soil etc all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note:- 1. The joint shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item. The qty of item will be executed at different times during currency of contract or as required basis as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Hence, contractor shall quote his rate accordingly for arranging and executing the items accordingly. 2. Fault should be detected and rectified within 24 hrs from intimation to contractor after that penalty be levied on contractor at the rate of Rs 500 per hour till the rectification.
