M&L for laying and compacting 150 mm thick (compacted thickness) WMM, grading as per table 400-13 of MoRTH specifications for road and bridge works 2013, manufactured in WMM plant, material comprising of clean, crust, graded aggregate and granular material premixed with water to a dense mass, spreading with sensor paver and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-100 KN static weight and consolidating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed. The finished surface tolerances to be as per table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for road and bridge works 2013.

M&L for preparing new WMM surfaces by wire brushing for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying a prime coat with cationic bitumen emulsion SS1 @ 0.7-1 kg/Sqm and conforming to IS 8887 and tack coat of bituminous VG-10 grade conforming to IS-73 @ 4 kg per 10 Sqm conforming using mechanical sprayer rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge.

Providing and laying 50 mm thick Premix Bituminous macadam of consolidated thickness, using paving bitumen binder of grade VG-30 and binder content of 4% by weight of total mix with mixing of aggregates and VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hydrostatic paver finisher (Paver shall not be compulsory in case of patch work using B.M.) and as per approved mix and rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 504 MoRTH (5th Rev) specification and as specified and directed. Note : 1. The contractor shall quote the rate against Item considering 4% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per clause No 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th Rev) for BC shall be carried out from any Govt Engg College Laboratory/ MES approved laboratory for obtaining optimum binder content (OBC) by the Contractor without any financial effect to the Dept and same be submitted to the accepting officer for approval. The cost for design mix thereof shall be deemed to be included in quoted unit rate. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted @ 42/kg of binder and no adjustment shall be made on plus side. 2. The BM shall be covered with top layer/wearing course within in a maximum of 48 hours. If ther is to be any delay, by the contractor the course shall be covered by seal coat to the requirement of Clause 512 of MORTH (5th Rev) before opening to the traffic. The seal coat in such cases shall be considered incidental to the work and shall not be paid for separately.

M&L for preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brush for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning to cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc from black top surface and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bitumen grade VG-10 @ 5.0 Kg per ten sqm complete all as specified and as directed.

Providing and laying premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder (paving bitumen of grade VG-30) content by weight of total mix and crushed aggregates of grading 2 with mixing of agrgregates and VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hyrdostatic paver finisher and as per approved mix and rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 507 MORTH (5th Rev) specification and as specified and directed. Note : 1. The contractor shall quote the rate against Item considering 5.50% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per clause No 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th Rev) for BC shall be carried out from any Govt Engg College Laboratory/ MES approved laboratory for obtaining optimum binder content (OBC) by the Contractor without any financial effect to the Dept and same be submitted to the accepting officer for approval. Cost of filler i.e. cement (Ordinary portland cement/OPC) is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate. 3. After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonne (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonne static weight, followed by finished rolling with 6 to 8 tonne smooth wheel tendom roller as per Clause Nos. 507.4.8 and cost of the same is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate.

M & L for 2.5mm thick road marking thermo plastic reflective paint to be carried out mechanically with hot application of material (painting material @ 5 Kg /Sqm ) and glass beads @ 250 gm/Sqm confirming to Clause No. 803.4 of MoRTH in strips of 100/150 mm width on road surfaces complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for continuous brick edging with burnt clay sub class ‘B’ bricks (old size) with width equal to the depth of the brick, laid dry, on edge complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for moorum/ red bajri filling in floors or paving’s, laid in layers n.exc 15cm thick spread levelling and rammed including watering complete all as specified and directed.

Removal of excavated soil to a distance n.exc 50m and deposited where directed at a level n.exc. 1.5 m above the starting point including removal of rubbish etc complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replacement road cat eye 90X110x17mm meeting with ASTM and MoR&TH standards with yellow reflector yellow body colour and two side lens all as specified. The studs shall be fixed to the road surface using the adhesive conforming to IS, as per manufacturers recommendation complete all as specified and directed.
