The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience on similar works, with details to be provided. The bidder should have completed contracts of similar nature and complexity. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed in the last five years, one similar work of value not less than 80% of the estimated cost of work, or two similar works each of value not less than 50% of the estimated cost of work, or three similar works each of value not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work. The values of works can be updated to current price levels by enhancing the value of executed works at a simple rate of 8% per annum. The bidder should also have experience as a Prime Contractor, Partner in a Joint Venture, or Sub-Contractor. Additionally, the bidder should have at least 2 years experience for various personnel such as Project/Work Manager, Site Engineer, Plant Engineer, and Quality Control Engineer. For works above a certain amount, the bidder should provide a list of similar works completed during previous years, duly supported by a performance certificate from the authority for whom the work has been completed. The bidder should also provide evidence of access to lines of credit and availability of other financial resources facilities, certified by the bankers, which is 10% of the contract value. Furthermore, the bidder should have a valid enlistment and provide an undertaking that they will be able to invest a minimum cash up to 25% of the contract value of work during implementation.
