The bidder should also provide a list of similar works completed during previous years, duly supported by performance certificates from the authority for whom the work was completed.
The list of similar works should include the name of the work, estimated cost, date of start, and date of completion. The bidder should also provide an undertaking that they will be able to invest a minimum cash up to 25% of the contract value of the work during implementation. Additionally, the bidder needs to provide evidence of access to lines of credit and availability of other financial resources, certified by the bankers, which should be at least 10% of the contract value.
The experience can be in the form of:
- Three similar completed works each costing not less than 40% of the estimated price of the particular work.
- Two similar completed works each costing not less than 50% of the estimated price of the particular work.
- One similar completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated price of the particular work.
The bidder should have completed similar works under their present name for a certain number of years. The maximum value of Civil Engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years should be provided, updated to the price level of the year indicated. If the applicant proposes to use named Sub-Contractor(s) for critical components of the works, or for work contents in excess of 10 percent of the value of the whole works, the applicant should provide additional information for the Sub-Contractor(s).
The annual turnover data for the bidder should be provided for the last three years, with the turnover amount in Rupees. The bidder should also provide details of their experience in similar works, including the value of the contract.
In terms of specific amounts, the bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover equal to 40% of the estimated cost of work, and should be able to invest a minimum cash up to 25% of the contract value of the work during implementation. The bidder should also have access to lines of credit and availability of other financial resources, certified by the bankers, which should be at least 10% of the contract value.
