The bidder is required to have prior work experience in civil engineering works, specifically in the type of work being bid on. The bidder must provide details of their experience, including the value and percentage of similar works completed. For experience as a Prime Contractor, the bidder should mention the number of years of experience in their own country and other countries. As a Joint Venture, the bidder should provide the number of years of experience in their own country and other countries. As a Sub-Contractor, the bidder should specify the main contractor and provide the number of years of experience in their own country and other countries. The bidder should also mention the number of years their organization has been in business under its present name, specifically in similar works. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed similar works in the last five years. The value of these similar works should be: - not less than 80% of the estimated cost of work for one similar work, - not less than 50% of the estimated cost of work for two similar works, or - not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work for three similar works. The bidder is required to provide a list of similar works completed during previous years, duly supported with performance certificates from the authority for whom the work has been completed, for works above Rs. 10.00 Crores. There is also a mention of a 10 percent value of the whole works in relation to sub-contracting for critical components. The bidder must submit a certificate from the employer showing details of their share of work, including the value and percentage of work completed. The bidder's bid capacity will be calculated based on their assessed available bid capacity, which is calculated as (A* N* 2 - B), where A is the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year, N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the project, and B is the value of existing commitments and ongoing works. Annual turnover data for the bidder is also required, with specific financial years and corresponding turnover amounts in Rs. The bidder is also required to provide an undertaking that they will be able to invest a minimum cash of up to 25% of the contract value of the work during implementation. For works above Rs. 10.00 Crores, the bidder is also required to provide reports on their financial standing, such as profit and loss statements and auditor’s reports for the past 5 years. The bidder is also required to provide evidence of access to lines of credit and availability of other financial resources facilities (10% of contract value), certified by the Bankers (not more than 6 months old).
