The required prior work experience for the bidder varies based on the tendering limit. For tendering limits up to Rs 25 lakh, from Rs 250 lakh to Rs 750 lakh, and from Rs 750 lakh to Rs 2000 lakh, the bidder should have experience of having successfully completed similar works during the last 7 years, with: - Three similar completed works costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost - Two similar completed works costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost - One similar completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost For works amounting to more than Rs. 50.00 lacs, the contractor shall employ one Graduate Engineer having relevant experience of not less than three years. For works amounting up to Rs. 50.00 lacs, the contractor shall employ one Graduate Engineer or qualified diploma holder having relevant experience of not less than three years. Additionally, for all works amounting to more than Rs. 2.00 crores, the contractor shall engage a competent and independent quality control consultant approved by the Executive Engineer in-charge of works. The payment to the quality control consultant shall be made by the Engineer-in-Charge direct as per the copy of agreement supplied by the contractor, and this payment will be recoverable from the contractor. The fee for quality control should generally be between 0.5% and 1.5% of the contract value. For works costing from Rs 200 Lacs to Rs 600 Lacs and for works costing more than Rs 500 Lacs, the bidder should have experience of having successfully completed similar works during the last 7 years, with: - Three similar completed works costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost - Two similar completed works costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost - One similar completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost. The value of works would be considered at current price levels by enhancing the value of executed works at the rate of 8% per annum.
