The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing specific categories of work during the last 7 years. These categories include: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, (iii) One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. In case of composite works, the bidder must have completed: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, (iii) One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. For subcontractors, they must have completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, no previous work experience is required for subletting work costing up to Rs 50 lakh. The bidder needs to submit certificates, testimonials, and an audited balance sheet regarding this experience, duly certified by a Chartered Accountant.
