The class eligibility requirement to bid or participate in this tender is that the bidder shall be a Construction Firm/ Companies having registered “B” or “A” Class contractor license. This means bidders must belong to either Class A or Class B in order to participate.

The bid capacity required in the given tender to bid is calculated using the formula: Assessed Available Bid Capacity = (A*N*2-B) Where: A = Maximum value of works executed in any one year during the last five years (updated to the current price level) B = Value of current price level of the existing commitments and ongoing works to be completed during the next years (Period of completion of works for which bids are invited) N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the works for which the bids are invited. Additionally, for certain construction firms or companies, the bid capacity required includes: i) Having successfully completed and commissioned one or more water treatment plants with a capacity of 0.5 MLD or above in government or PSU sectors, with a total work value of not less than 30% of the estimated cost in any one financial year during the last five years. ii) Having an annual financial turnover of not less than 40% of the estimated cost in any one year in civil construction works during the last five years, certified by a chartered accountant.
